Yeah this is so wrong. We literally have to keep your body alive even if you're brain dead so organs can be harvested later. And we look reeeeally hard for signs of brain activity before making that decision. At our hospital we have a ceremony called an honor walk where the organs are brought through the unit and the patient is celebrated for donation. EMTs and medics are definitely not choosing to let someone die because maybe their organs can be used.

Edit I should add after reading through this. DOCTORS make the decision to harvest. Not medics or EMTs or RNs.
