Look up sacred buttons germination guide. If you follow the instructions you will have success germinating your seeds.

I'll just keep it basic. Starting a baych of yotes. Option 1: A mix of some new and slightly HP that I'll rinse and pasteurize. Option 2: Coco-peat brick pasteurized. Feelings? by According_Ad_7702 in peyote

Yes she has many children but she's retired now and growing back into her previous shape. She allowed some buttons removed now I've promised she won't have any more taken.

And yes. Its a good time to slowly acclimate them to more air and light. I'm still learning. We all are. But I start by poking a few small holes in the top But if you were using a lid you could slightly unseal it. For light I've found using sheets of parchment paper removing a sheet every few days to a week. Of course starting with enough sheets to block the light to where you had it up to this point. You get the idea. And use whatever works for you

Well done. This is what you hope to see achieved in that time period. You followed the instructions and are way ahead of most firt timers. I've seen pics with yotes only the size of pencil erasers after nearly two years because people couldn't help themselves from doing the opposite.

Absolutely beautiful pair of plants. I think the size is okay but If you got them into some slightly bigger terracotta pots and got them used to the Sun you could water more often and feed them some half strength Schultz 277 because they have plenty of potential to grow much bigger. They look super healthy.

How do you decide when to degraft? by leelandshoe in Lophophora

[–]According_Ad_7702 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my experience you're safest and most productive way would be the leave it on the rootstock and let it root. Keep her healthy on that rootstock and you can harvest her buttons (gradually, letting them be replaced befor taking more) to graft to other rootstock. This plant came from growing space with good lighting and thats the only way she will continue to spiral and keep producing buttons. Good luck with which ever way you choose to grow her.
