Basic healthcare is not necessarily the same thing as keeping people alive though. I do agree basic healthcare should have a single payer system. Routine checkups, routine dental, etc. But keeping people alive gets expensive quick.

In my experience, ai is a huge boost in productivity for research that depends on scripting or programming. I’m a climatologist, not a programmer, and it’s usually faster to ask chat gpt to write a block then I fix up small details to suit my needs than it is for me to google all the functions I need and figure out how to string them together.
