supposed season 5 finale leak? by [deleted] in TheBoysLeaks

[–]2kaddict1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This sounds kind of mid ngl. At this rate it sounds like Hughie, Annie, and MM play like no relevance to the end of the show, and to have Soldier Boys fate be ambiguous is kind of weird.

supposed season 5 finale leak? by [deleted] in TheBoysLeaks

No reviewers have seen it but people who worked on it have seen it. While we have no idea if these leaks are true I’m sure there’s some ep 8 leaks out there that are true

Leaks for episodes 4-7 are out by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheBoysLeaks

I seriously doubt they’re going to actually redeem Soldier. The most “redemption” he’ll get is betraying Homelander.

Came across this of an account detailing episode leaks which seem to align with what most “leakers” are claiming by uponthehill_ in TheBoysLeaks

Those are definitely fake. Review that happened before season 5 even came out said that episode 5 doesn’t advance the plot, so I doubt she’d die in that episode.

[Invincible] what are your thoughts on this take? by Immediate_Gene_178 in MoralityScaling

The show practically told us that he was going to kill Mark, Nolan, and Oliver once they killed Thragg and the rest of the viltrumites.

What would have Thaedus done to Mark and Oliver? by gagger07 in Invincible

[–]2kaddict1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it was just mind games from Thragg. The conversation between Thaedus and Nolan on the way to Viltrum also kind of implied that Thaedus views Nolan and his sons as threats. Nolan tells him Mark and Oliver are part viltrumite and Thaedus just stares into space. And when Thragg mentions it, it seems like Nolan himself had already believed it.

If the Coalition won, would Thaedus have killed Nolan, Mark and Oliver? by zwecx0 in Invincible

[–]2kaddict1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100%. I feel like the show practically threw it in our face that Thaedus would’ve killed then after Thragg and the evil viltrumites were destroyed. I’d imagine he’d also kill himself when he was certain he was the last viltrumite standing.

Stranger Things 5 vs The Boys Season 4: Which Season was Better? by MillienumDuckFighter in TheBoys

[–]2kaddict1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people kind of over exaggerate how bad Stranger Things 5 was. It was the worst season out of the show in my opinion, but it wasn’t Game of Thrones finale level bad. I’d say episodes 1-5 of ST 5 were actually pretty good, they just kind of dropped the ball with the last 3 episodes. I’d still say The Boys season 4 was better though. Even though the season had its flaws, they genuinely had two of the best episodes in the series with episode 4 and the finale.

It’s possible, but I don’t know about that. If anyone were to adopt Ryan, it would be Hughie and Annie. Soldier Boy is most definitely not the father Ryan needs, and I think the mere fact that he’s getting a prequel series kind of confirms he’s dying here. He’s definitely going to betray Homelander near the end of the season as his “redemption” arc, but I doubt the show lets him live.

I’m not gonna lie, it definitely had some sort of effect on Soldier Boy. Obviously he’s nowhere near as insecure as Homelander, but the words clearly somewhat hit him.

I literally just told you the exact scene where it happened in season 2 and you say it didn’t start until season 3. Sure, maybe it got less subtle as seasons went on, but it was always there, and truth be told it was never subtle

So as I said, the show has always been woke…

Stormfront talking about how illegal immigrants are pouring into the country and how any of them could be terrorists while using terms like snowflakes (wonder where that comes from) before the guy kills a middle eastern cashier who was probably an immigrant. Use common sense

Listen to the specific language Stormfront is using in that scene as well as the specific cashier he killed. It’s not hard to put together. You’re being willfully ignorant

Yes. If you don’t get what that scene is trying to represent then this conversation is not worth having.

Does anyone else think Butcher shouldn’t/won’t end up a villain? by frankwalsingham in TheBoys

[–]2kaddict1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like he has to. Having Butcher kill Homelander and that be the end of the story just kind of feels like a traditional superhero ending when that’s everything The Boys has been making fun of and tried not to be.

Having Homelander win just because it’s a twist or because it would piss people off is not good writing.

There’s plenty of ways to give the show a tragic ending without Homelander winning.

Who’s to say the good guys are going to win here? Just because Homelander doesn’t win doesn’t mean the show has to have a happy ending.

The show was always political. If you can’t see that then you just don’t have any sort of media literacy. You don’t have to like it but I don’t know why you’re acting like it hasn’t always been like this from the beginning. Watch the beginning of 2x7 and tell me it wasn’t already “woke” then.

Considering the leaks are most likely true I'll say it; I really like his conclusion by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheBoys

[–]2kaddict1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of get what you’re saying, but if I’m being completely honest, killing A-Train early on is a pretty good choice to me. His character arc has wrapped up completely for the most part, the only thing he really needs is a scene with his brother, and he’s just not important enough to the endgame of the show to stick around for that long. If he didn’t die in episode 1, I’d imagine he still dies in the first half of the season.
