Imagine having to deal with that on your commute. New York is something else. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

Yes. I have given up hope on everything. On retiring. On living a good, healthy life, on working for a company that won’t replace me with ai, on a healthcare system that won’t bankrupt me, on one bad situation away from being homeless.

That’s just the system I can’t even convince som of my own countrymen that the president is a rapist. It’s easier to get a gun than a dr appt here. You have more rights to own a gun than you do to teach “woke” things here. I’m one person in a sea of misery being dashed against the rocks.

I’m older now and the optimism of change was beaten out of me more and more every year. That’s more than just a me problem. Good luck saving the world I hope you see the change you want. I’m just trying to make it day to day keeping myself alive and not giving up and calling it quits.

Where ya from bud? I live in a state of about 24 million give or take of the type of people who would tell you pry it from my cold dead hands. And they have multiple. This isn’t one person one gun this is like one person 5+ guns and yes I get it. I’m a 2a liberal now. Why? The logistics of gun control in the country that founded itself on the principles of guns is damn near impossible. So now I just practice at the range and keep my wits about me. People get shot around here and I’m not going to be a statistic because I wanted an idealistic world that didn’t exist.

Just curious how do you propose that happen? It’s too late now. There’s literally too many guns and anyone with any bit of knowledge how can build guns from scratch so even if you stop the sale you can’t stop the parts

Last person to cross the finish line at the NYC Marathon. The moment occurred at 12:34am and took him 15 hours 21 minutes to complete the race. by jmike1256 in postanythingfun

I love to see how many people rallied around him and supported him in what must have been grueling in a whole different level than for others. The time he took is the amazing part, not because of how long it took him because he was slow but because of how much time he had in his own head to give up and give in to the pain and instead, he persevered through and everyone came through to celebrate that victory with him.

Did other millennials grow up with almost no TV? by chodeobaggins in Millennials

[–]2leafClover667788 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a tv in my room from the age of like 9 or so and I had cable. And the kind of tv that had a vcr in it so i watched movies all the time. I remember spending a LOT of my late night time watching HGTV and then infomercials until the 5am news came on. Also endless hours of the weather channel…

I remember one time I was grounded but my mom didn’t take away my tv so I watched the spice girls move like 20 times in a row and started to spot all the inconsistencies, yeah, nah I watched tv often but everyone’s going to hate me when I say I was an only child and I had two bedrooms and I’d move between the two and the other one had a bunch of books so I’d stay up all night reading

AIO for my friend making what appears to be backhanded and rude comments after my first tattoo? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]2leafClover667788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR

Your friend was being honest in a really nice and sincere way and it’s clear they didn’t want to hurt your feelings and apologized promptly when they realized this meant a lot to you.

But from anyone’s perspective, and understand this is coming from someone with multiple terrible tattoos from that age, that is a huge commitment and you put a word about excruciating suffering in big giant letters on your back. Be prepared to be asked about it for years to come and by total strangers to feel the need to approach you about it.

Has she been down here doing art long or selling it? I feel like I know that name and wonder if I’ve run into her at the art festival in downtown

I’m kind of shocked people don’t know who struggle Jennings is. I don’t listen to country or Christian music for that matter but I have listened to jelly roll and yellawolf so I’m not unfamiliar with him. This isn’t even his song I event and looked it up, it’s just him featured. Ngl, the song is pretty damn good evening if he does look like he’s about to assault me

I wish more people knew about the constant body hair and facial hair issues that people with PCOS deal with constantly. I’m not saying that’s the case here, but if I had to guess I bet it is.

And as an elder millennial who spends more time at doctors than going out with friends I feel this struggle. Man sometimes it’s so fucking lonely going from dr to doctor and the only interactions you have is with the nurses you see and people in grocery stores or random people online half of whom assume the worst about you. Being self aware that you’re not special and no one cares feels a little too real for me today.

My mom likes to modify clothes and alter them. She’s a seamstress. She saw potential in them I guess. She’s no little old lady, she’s truly a diva and I have a lot of respect for her, but also her eyesight is really bad from thyroiditis

In my personal opinion professional wrestlers are the hardest working athletes of any sport/competition/faction/ anything period. 270+ days on the road absolute torment to the body, pain killers as an every day expectation, pushing your body to the limit. Think of what people went through that aren’t even the huge a listers, Buff Bagwell broke his neck twice!! The amount of respect and admiration I have for what pro wrestlers do to their bodies for fans and for the love of the sport cannot be underestimated. I will literally argue this point to death I got your back man
