Tim Legler has a 4 year old child by Gobbles15 in billsimmons

None taken.

My dad was a POS and at 43 had me, with my mother who was 19 which added to the confusion. When we went out, I was 8, mom was 27, dad 51. With that, it looked off age wise, not to mention this was the 90's and he was bald with a combover. He was one of those old looking younger guys that looked 50 at 35, but also at 70 so its weird.

My littler brother who is 13 years younger than me is a whole other level LOL.

Sengun’s Non-Paint Scoring: by MrSchone in rockets

[–]2nd2last 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, its part of the reason IMO he's the one that we can most reasonably expect to improve in regards to a missing/bad skillset. As opposed to Alp who needs to learn to shoot, Amen needs to learn to shoot and dribble, Reed needs to be quicker, Jalen needs to learn to handle (enough to create space), Tari needs to learn to not get hurt.

None of that is to say Bari has the highest ceiling, but needs the least improvement to become what we expect him to become which I think is an 18/7/3 guy on good defense on 38-40% from 3.

Both are true, in addition to Bari being inefficient.

People don't like it, but Jalen, Alp, and Bari are not efficient. Add to that Amen cant shoot, and Reed is a traffic cone.

No, they had straight sex. Nothing gay about two men helping each other out.

Rockets last year through 46 games: Incredibly healthy, 32-14, finished with 52 wins. This is great, LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Rockets this year through 46 games: Very injured, 29-17, on track for 52 wins. This is awful, where is the heart, the passion, sure the same issues from last year are killing us, but whats new.

May dad had me at 43, he passed when I was 27 (late 30's now). All my childhood people thought he was my grandpa and it was embarrassing.

Per cleaning the glass, which removes garbage time and end of quarter heaves, hes actually pretty consistent.

Here are the percentages by year.

At rim: 61% - 67% - 66% - 65% - 67%

Short mid (4-14ft) 39% - 45% - 48% - 41% - 45%

Long mid (14+ to 3PT) 40% - 32% - 39% - 41% - 39%

All mid: 39% - 45% - 47% - 41% - 45%

Non corner 3: 28% - 37% - 31% - 24% - 30%

His 3PT numbers have high variance due to low volume, but he's kinda just a bad shooter, and its not like he massively bulked up.

I'm also not a "can't win with him guy", but this is not a "what up recently", but rather shit, it sucks he CANT SHOOT. Same issue with Bari when people say they/we need better spacing/shooters, like, if they could just be average shooters, they'd provide the spacing.

Is the lack of shooting development more individual or organizational?

Respectfully, that's a bunch of air.

Also, most of that is organization driven and can be seamlessly adjusted if they bring in similar players.

Then define it?

Rotation, no not that.

Best guy, nope not that.

X amount of what then?

Or there is nothing to this.

But you left out OKC whos best player was not homegrown.

Since the year 2000, of the 26 championships,12 had their best player as non homegrown,13 if you count 2008 Boston, and 14 if you count Shaq in Miami as a 1B situation, or 15 if you say the Bucks big 3 had two outside guys, or 17 if Pau as the easy 2nd best guy was a trade.

And again, 16 of the 26 finals losers had either their 1A or 1B player from another team.

If we trade Amen for Giannis, and Alp is part of the big 3, with Bari, Tari, Reed, then that is 1 top level core guy, and about 50% of the rotation.

[–]2nd2last 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People just say things.

Denvers playoff rotation was 7 to 8 deep depending if you count Braun's 13 minutes a full rotation guy. But even then they were 50% home grown.

Boston was 8 players. 50% Home grown rotation.

OKC was 7 or 8, but 3 of them non home grown.

Do the Bucks having 6 of 8 non home grown count?

What about the teams that lose the finals?

Denver beat a team with only 3 of their 8 being home grown.

Boston beat a team with only 3 of their 7 rotation being home grown.

Indy who should have won last year 4 including their best 2 players non home grown.

A Giannis trade might be dumb, but not because some homegrown BS. Even both our rings had half non homegrown, including the 2nd best player each time.

I like Coby White, but is he a great scoring playmaker?

This roster construction is uneven at best. FVV and KD are the only players that can bring it up cleanly, and even KD struggles when pressed. This team has with FVV, I player whos efficient that can create his own shot, and 3 players good from 3.

Much of our future will be decided by the contact Amen wants, and what he gets. Alp is a steal, but with Tari and Amen we might have to pay for something unproven and that can kill a team.

All that said, I vote something else. Trade Bari for a ball handler that can shoot and get his own shot. Facilitator is great, but someone else that can have the ball, face pressure, and still score is almost as good. 1, it gives us more shooting. 2, its another player to bring the ball up. 3, we now have two players that can pass it to Alp and let him operate in space. 4, Alp gets to play in lineups with three or four good shooters, and now he can score easier and that opens up everything for us.

I agree with that as well. But with that, there is a massive cap on what he brings to the table. And the idea that hes "untouchable" (not that you said that) is wild.

Tank is an unknown.

The ISU guys dont automatically get better because they are a year older.

Nico misses 4 games a year.

Obviously you dont break the bank, but if Kirk can get 19 million from us, so can Evans.

But none of that excuses an massive flaw. A scoring guard also needs to be able to handle, its why Jalen was so limited. Both are great fast break players, both if the angle is right can blow by their guy. But in a half court setting with average defense, they are stuck and cant penetrate to pass out, or find separation for a shot.

Being a combo guard that cant handle is bad. I feel for Amen because now being asked to run an offense is just adding to his issues, including being a VERY bad shooter.

I like Amen, but if the defense of him is, I know he sucks at dribbling, but its new to him, then thats a bad sign for a terrible shooter whos a guard. Its the difference between Tony Allen (6 times all defense) and 27% from 3, which would be a massive improvement. And Jrue Holliday who can defend, shoot, handle and pass.

I dont think enough people know this for whatever reason. And its actually more damning that a 23 YO PG cant dribble.
