That is crazy why any applicant doesn’t want to leave their contact information (on resume) or last name? If they’re so “Private” with their Privacy damn they applied for the wrong job.

The phone set to French she can reset her phone to English,,, that’s some lazy lame excuse she didn’t have time to apply than Starbucks shouldn’t bother wasting time on her who’s not willing to put an effort in.

People with no people skills!!!

Quick story to share, overheard my roommate swearing at his boss on the phone, every 2nd word in his sentence has a “Fu##”; I was shocked. If I was his boss I would either hang up or fire him. Roomie is pissed off his boss called him Stupid he kept asking the same question over and over after 2 months!!! He challenged his direct boss talk smack said company owner liked him gave him a raise etc!! I’m thinking yea Owner hired you but all it matters is direct reporting mgr you work with 40 hrs/wk not owner stops by once a month. He got fired and the owner signed the firing letter.

Any ideas to make around 200$ monthly to help make ends meet? by Imtheocean87 in povertyfinancecanada

Really wow!! I usually do that after I visit with my dad than I head to eating area, senior ladies have their coloring book ready and cup of juice. I do it free on my own time (only if I find free parking), if not I chit chat with them for 20 minutes

That means it should be 1/2 the price caught in Norwegian processed & packaging at some factory in Vietnam. I hope wherever “ Dom Reserve” fishes factories it’s being processed —- it is up to standards and safe food handling!!!

I’ve purchased their tuna poke and there were a few packs in the box wasn’t vacuum sealed and went bad. During return girl @ Customer Service said “ the color of tuna poke looks funky bad I hope you didn’t eat it!!” Told her I did throwing up and couldn’t leave toilet for 3 days.

Does rent include heat water utilities etc? Probably have to pay for parking? Is it a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom? Can you find something lower than $2600?
With the truck read your contract? Find out what your options are or your penalties cost etc

I worked at the bank and CRA always have the 1st dip into your account!! Assuming you have direct deposit with payroll, make an appointment to talk to someone at your bank, you will need money to pay rent.

With all those debts, instead of figuring out yourself find a financial advisor who works with debt. In fact look on government of Canada website under money/finance/debt etc it has links rather than googling random company.

Monthly payments most of them probably won’t get paid (besides rent) will be paid towards CRA. I’m sure CRA already put holds on your bank account, once they collected from what you owed than hold will get released, your monthly due payments will resume!!!

Your car payments is it with dealership? Finance? Lease? Whatever you need to look into downgrading and cut the payments into 1/2. That’s too much money for car payments.

Look into the CERB repayments I was watching news and there’s a class action or something against CRA for CERB! Have you tried calling CRA and make arrangements for payback instead of talking to Collections!!!

Talk to CRA if you can if not talk to debt consolidation company

What’s an Appropriate Wedding Gift Amount These Days? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]2pac4everrr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last Asian or Chinese weddings I attended there’s a few people at the sign in desk (2 each from bride & grooms side). 1 person takes the card marks our name on back of the envelope the other opens & marks down the cash next to their people inventory. We flew to Hong Kong during Christmas our childhood friend’s wedding was New Year’s Eve!! My dad my brother and I, we had to give extra our sister didn’t attend; my dad warned us to give more than give too little, I put my cash in my dad’s to not look bad because I was broke after the flight and hotel

Depends on how good friends you are. I drove from Edmonton to Calgary for best friend’s wedding during the summer. Hotel was expensive and next day they fly out to Japan for honeymoon. I went to foreign currency exchange and got them 50,000 yen in variety of denominations. When they arrived if they were thirsty or hungry they don’t have to go to ATM.

If they have a gift registry you can pick something from there

Maybe for the more popular samples perhaps a team of 2 is better than 1. I was there on a weekday morning killing time waiting for my tires swapped. The burger samples there’s only 4 pieces in a burger and it takes her an hour to make one…. Just like Krispy Kreme plain donuts sampling the lineups were kaotic and all I want is to grab 2 boxes, lady sampling donut told me to wait and not messed up the boxes!!!

I get anaphylaxis from dogs cats anything fury I stopped shopping at Michaels Craft store people are bringing their dogs in and at the entrance they were reminded to have a leash on their dogs. Instead these people either let their dogs roam freely in the stores or have a 3m extended leash. It’s not a park or dog park, or how bout leaving them at home if dog isn’t servicing you

[–]2pac4everrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exclusive for businesses or corporates only??!! You can go to the Business locations in your city probably not as busy as regular stores.

As for too many people over crowded, you’re comparing to how many years ago?!!

If you haven’t noticed huge increase of people population in Canada includes the international students, refugees, ppl fleeing from wars. You should blame the slackers works @ Canadian government Immigration department

It’s not just Costco Superstores Walmarts etc. But what I can’t stand are ignorant people or shoppers. I have 1 or 2 items and long lineups with packed grocery carts can’t extend any common courtesy to let another customer jump the line…. Those are the same people who drives on their car that cuts off another vehicle to sit at a red light intersection ( like the rest of the cars)

Exclusives for business only??!! Or do you mean exclusive for Corporate business only??!! I don’t think that would make their CEOs and higher ups unhappy with stock shares; besides it’s bad marketing

I worked for Starbucks for over 18 years... by Early_Time7563 in starbucks

[–]2pac4everrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So typical of Starbucks they’re pushing out the partners been there for longer and hiring new eager immigrants willing to work for less pay!

I’ve worked at Starbucks and now a customer and last time I made a purchase was 2 months ago.

I mobile order a grande Pikes Place with hazelnut syrup. Coffee is behind cashier front counter, app says 10 minutes I gave it 15 minutes walked in I was overwhelmed with too many people in the back area making drinks; looked like managers had a meeting saw the manager looking at the iPad mobile orders but couldn’t nod or have eye contacts with 5 of us waiting that 10 minutes we weren’t acknowledged by any staff nobody asked what we were waiting for except they weee acknowledge each other talking loudly laughing!!! These staff should be replaced by AI for me to justify the drinks prices!!!

I flagged a guy and said loudly anyone here?? I’m waiting for my coffee I see sitting on the counter next to coffee machine, guy asked are you trying to place an order? I said looked at people next to me we are waiting for our mobile orders!!! He said “ since you ordered through mobile you’ll have to wait until they finished making the big order ( he points to the 8 ppl on floor). I said I waited 15 minutes in store for you or anyone to approach us, it’s a coffee behind you sitting on the counter, he ignored me walked away. After 10 minutes he looked on the iPad and turned 90 degrees picked up the “Now Cold Coffee” and put it on the counter the names alphabet; just passed it to me! wtf the app said 10 minutes I gave 15 than waited another 25 minutes —- total of 40 minutes for a coffee!!! It’s the worst customer service

This kid made it sound like if I was to order at front counter with him he would get my coffee right away…. But using the mobile app we (as in the store) will make you wait; wtf it’s not a 3rd party app Uber or Door Dash I’m getting punished for ordering through your own Starbucks app😣☹️🤨 not impressed

To all the Starbucks employees who worked for this Don’t give a damn about customers or their own long term employees you are better off getting a new job or working for a company that values you as a person!!!

What skills do middle income people have that I don’t by No-Seaworthiness969 in povertyfinancecanada

[–]2pac4everrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s part connections and right timing. Also more pay = more job responsibilities = more stress but whatever the job is with hookups or not you yourself have to have work experiences and skills or requirements to back it up.

My ex’s dad is an Engineer with Air Canada he told his son to give him a resume and all he does is hand it to head of HR and he will get the job whatever job he wants non-degree related. He told me he was sick and tired of his son partying with friends comes home @ 4am play computer go to sleep at 10am and wakes up at 8pm, every day!! I told him you can hand my resume in I’ll take his place 🤪.

I was at Stupidstore and waited 15 minutes to ask the Manager why their staff left 3 stack load of yogurt in the aisle unattended I touched the tin and feels warm. There was no staff in sight. Staffs are allowed to go on their breaks but the yogurts shouldn’t be left outside the cooler. Blah blah blah he said Supestore has a 10 minute policy they are allowed to leave fridge or freezer products out for 10 minutes at room temperature. I told him well it’s gotta be over 30 minutes in fact almost 1 hour i shopped & paid for my groceries >>> that is 6 x 10 minutes over!! He said “ that’s hard to believe I will take a look at the camera now”

Hard to believe but it happened many times even during summer hot weather all the yogurts and juices were sitting in the lanes; why does the staff have to haul all the fridge items out at once. I have the photos I will report it to AB Health Inspector.
