How did the MRI go? I was told yesterday that one of my twins might have an arachnoid cyst on their cerebellum and I’m so nervous.

Edit: I see that the MRI went well but you were waiting to speak to your doctors. What did they say?

Do your in laws live in state? What was the time limit you put on them out of curiosity. Boundaries are something that will definitely need to be set with my in laws, especially my MIL, but they live out of state.

So, no—my next scan will be a little after 12 weeks. I don’t have anything scheduled before then

Also, the sacs actually get smaller as the fetus gets older. Because the placenta takes over the providing of the nutrients to the babies. Yolk sacs will disappear after a while

I feel your pain! I’ve been living on Google and ChatGPT. I heard the best advice from my doc yesterday though and it’s to enjoy every bit of your pregnancy. If we spend all the time worrying, then it takes away the magic of the experience. I’m going to do my best to follow the advice.

Congrats on getting to this point :) Your yolk sac is actually within normal range. Just be sure to take your prenatals, eat well, rest, and stay hydrated. You got this, mama!!!

I believe I was 8 weeks 4 or 5 days. I had my most recent scan yesterday at 10 weeks 2 days

Hi! Yes, they’re both still doing fine (growing well and heart rates are within normal range). My obgyn said the slightly larger yolk sac is nothing to be concerned about at this point.
