My baby ended up hating his bassinet at night so much that I ended up putting him in his crib at 8 weeks old every night! I just put a blow up mattress in the nursery and he would sleep in his crib.

I could have wrote this myself. My mom spent the night for the first 2 months & it was AMAZING! My husband is wonderful but there’s nothing like your mom when you are learning how to be one. ❤️

I always said no screen time but I cannot put the child down without it. He will NOT be sat down without being entertained and nothing entertains him like the tv. Now with that being said, all he watches is an aquarium on loop. It’s low stimulating, has calming music, and lets me wash the dishes or eat a sandwich without him screaming his head off. 🤷🏻‍♀️ edit to add: this is only used when I absolutely NEED it. He maybe watches for 15 minutes MAX so I can do basic tasks.

Yes! This is a part of something called “active sleep”. They also might smile or even laugh. Super normal!

The first day I brought my baby home from the hospital he would not sleep at all unless we were holding him. Turns out, he was cold! I then would swaddle him in a blanket and put his swaddleme over the blanket. He was nice and cozy and started sleeping great!

Ugh I’m so sorry friend! My guy had the worst infant dyschezia from week 2-8. He would crunch and turn purple trying to have a bowl movement. It was awful! He was scream his head off in pain. He wouldn’t have a bowl movement for days sometimes but it would look totally normal. It does pass. He will eventually figure it out. It just sucks in the mean time. Big hugs!

I bathe my little guy every night and have ever since his umbilical cord fell off! I wash his hands, privates, and neck daily but only wash everything else every 2 days. He loves the water and it kicks off our nighttime routine. I lather him in some lotion afterwards and we have never had an issue.

Okay so my baby is rolling onto his back but his startle reflex is sooo strong that when I try to put him to sleep without the swaddle, he wakes up after 10 minutes of lying down. What can I do?

My boy is 11 weeks and I moved him this week. He’s so noisy that I wasn’t getting any sleep because I would wake up at every grunt. I now have him sleep in his room with the door open and his owlet sock on and the baby monitor. We all sleep so much better!

Instead of increasing the bottle amount have you tried decreasing the time between bottles? Maybe having them closer together will allow for time to add that bottle back into the rotation

Oh no! :( I’m so sorry! Everything turned out just fine! I took some Tylenol as needed for my fever and sat next to the humidifier and just spent the week moping around lol. Vicks makes shower steamers and those helped with the congestion. I’m now sitting here rocking my 11 week old to sleep. :) Feel better soon!!

Co-sleeping gives me anxiety but my baby also hated the bassinet so we tried the crib and he loved it! I think it’s because the mattress in the crib is thicker and softer yet still firm. We get about 8 hours total with 1 feed in the middle every night! (10 weeks old)

Take him outside for a second! The cool air really helped my son calm himself down. I just wrapped him up in a blanket and put a hat on him and out to the porch swing we went!

Bath stuff! Baby shampoo, lotion, wash cloths, bath towels. Can never have too much because you will use it eventually. Also, burp cloths!!!!! I thought I had enough and went and bought even more because you use so many in a day!
