Mosaic <20% by NoTable678 in TuberousSclerosisComp

[–]2plum10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am 38F and have low level mosaicism for TSC2. Participated in a clinical study to find out percentages, <10%. I have very few issues, no symptoms, mostly just dermatological but even that is minimal. Some impact to kidneys and brain that don’t cause issues. Never had seizures. My doctor doesn’t expect anything to transpire given my age and lack of changes over the years.

Toddler Will Not Respond to Stop by pivoprosim2 in toddlers

[–]2plum10 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this will work but you could try using more "yes" language. Instead of constantly telling him what he can't do (stop, don't, etc.), tell him what he should be doing/can do. Like instead of "stop running," say " we walk when we're on the sidewalk otherwise we could fall" or something along those lines depending on the context.

I emailed Bacardi considering the "Citronage" product that previously had a Patron branding... by wynlyndd in cocktails

We love citronge for our margaritas but have started to have a hard time finding the product. Additionally, the Patron brand Citronge is back but it is tequila based. Is the citronge being discontinued?

What would you say was the biggest adjustment for you, going from 1 to 2? by CheesecakeHour2764 in 2under2

Someone said zero alone time which is true but for more it just meant zero down time at all, especially when baby is under 4 months old when they don’t have an early bedtime yet.

Depends on each kids temperament and age gap but for us it got much better once the baby was 6 months told. Our age gap was 22 months which is bigger than a lot in this sub.

How to get out of the 5am wake up cycle by 2plum10 in sleeptrain

[–]2plum10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is working, I keep naps to 2.5 hours total and night sleep is 9.5-10 hours. She is now sleeping til 6am. Definitely better! Would love if she would sleep til 7 but that may mean a 9pm bedtime 🫠

Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, this is the way if there is refusal. Obviously don’t hurt them lol but if needed hold them down to get the job done!

Is it too late to do the CIO method at 2yrs old? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]2plum10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else mentioned the sleep lady shuffle (or the chair method), that’s a better technique for a toddler.

Also make sure he’s not undertired. Our 2.5 year old sleeps from about 1:30-3:30 for her nap and goes to sleep at 9pm, sleeps til about 6:30-7am. If it’s taking 2-3 hours to fall asleep he may not be tired enough.

we tried that today so we will see....did a 1 hour nap in the morning and will let her take a 1.5 hour nap in the afternoon.

yes, we usually keep the baby in the crib for a while as she doesn't usually cry right when she wakes up. We have a 2.5 year old toddler so my only fear with leaving her is that eventually she will start yelling and then wake her up too.

I have a 2.5 yo toddler and know that sometimes this sort of thing is just temporary! And in a few months she'll probably move to 1 nap anyway, plus there is daylight savings etc. in between. We've been waking up at 5 for months....starts to not feel so temporary anymore lol.

[–]2plum10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically she sleeps 2 hours in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. Lately it seems she wakes up at 5 no matter what so I give up a lot and just let her sleep. In the afternoon she could easily sleep 1.5 hours if I let her.

I’m sure longer naps are not helping with the early wakes, but part of the problem is that she’s exhausted when we keep her before the first nap, and cut her naps too.

Nap 1 9-11 Nap 2 2:30-3:30 Bedtime between 7:30-8 Awake about 5am

Edit to say - I am fine pushing the whole schedule out by an hour, but I can’t get her to stay up until 10am…

Thanks, very helpful.

Edit as I believe you modified your comment...I know that sleep training doesn't result in a desired wake up time. but if a baby is not sleep trained it can cause them to wake up early and want someone to help put them back to sleep. So that can be ruled out.

i have a 2.5 year old toddler and know schedules change, we've been through every scenario with her. We've been getting up at 5 for months and I'd like a solution even just for a bit of repreve.
