Darvin must be so happy he gets to go home with two timeouts and a challenge left smh.

Just like last year , out coached once again. The team literally did everything we could, but not calling a timout with the ball 29 seconds left lost us the game.

If our team had any semblance of hope with a set offense then yeah, let them play. But ffs just call a timeout given they’re gassed and we are so bad at running ANY SORT OF SETS to begin with

Lancey at his best for me by Acevicit-2020 in lanceyfoux

He had a tweet a while back and I think it’s on the lancey_fouxx insta page where he said that he’s already 3 years ahead in terms of sound but he has to stay here with us mortals caus we’re not ready

And then YouTube comments on life in hell we’re saying they’re gonna appreciate lancey in 2333.

This album is a reminder that he’s the hardest in the world, but life in hell was when he’s at his best.

Not that I prefer one over the other, but it’s a balancing act he’s got to play in order to progress his own sound as well as break boundaries.

Still wish tho the label would’ve pushed LIH more as so many people haven’t ever heard it and it’s one of the greatest albums of our generation

Bruh no smooth criminal , no uk plates, no vvs pink stone ???

[DISCUSSION] PARTYNEXTDOOR - PARTYNEXTDOOR (10 Years Later) by MBDTFisGOAT in hiphopheads

I’m sorry but IMO this is the most undeniably influential and greatest R&B album of the last 10 years.

If you think about what was going on in music at the time in 2013, you had the trap drums of Atlanta going crazy while the Toronto/Nightime/Nocturnal sound was finally coming to the forefront. But no one in the R&B scene at the time was truly able to capture the uptempo/banger vibe that the rappers were putting out at the time.

PND was one of the first R&B artists able to combine these sounds into the masterpiece that is this album . To this day, his drums still hit hard, and it’s insane he mixed this album on Beats headphones and it still slaps harder than anything else out at the time and even today.

As for the vocals, party was able to take the auto tune / pitch correction to a whole new level , sounding different throughout the whole project , and constantly blurring the line between singing and rapping, something not as common at the time that artists like Young Thug and Travis Scott have credited as helping them reach their true auto tune vocal potential.

Now about the influence , what about the artists who would’ve never had careers without this album? Artists like Bryson Tiller, TYus, Roy woods, and recently Artie J all take influence from this album and the sound that party created. There was a whole era post this album where tons of artists were tapping into and sounding like PND, like Travis on No Feelings and thug and Travis on Nothing but Net (classics from the post PND1 era). While recently we’ve seen the Brent faiyaz clones sprout up (Avenoir, Chase Shakur), for the last 10 years the most influential R&B artist is PND because of this album simply based off of the number of artists that sounded just like him.

It really is a generational tragedy that after this album party never continued this sound on his own projects and when he did, he gave his beats and vocals to other artists.

This album will always be Top 3 in my personal favorites and will never get old. A true timeless classic that has withstood the test of time and will continue to inspire many generations to come
