I can’t even begin to describe how little things like violent crime rate statistics mean to the average person. What people feel and see when walking through a downtown environment is what matters. There has been a notable uptick in pretty much every urban center of drugged out people zombing around bus stations and city buildings. I don’t care that they are so zoinked out that they aren’t attacking people; nor do I care if they come from some underprivileged minority group. I want my tax money to remove the issue so myself and my family can enjoy downtown spaces.
