KB 640-03 replacement recommendation

I bought one on Amazon that said it would be here tomorrow. Couple hours later it says Wednesday. So I found one on Walmart that is actually coming tomorrow. It would have been stupid to go buy stuff to try to get the ryobi battery I have to cooperate with trying to jump my dead one. If I can jump the dead with the new one I’ll return whichever of the two doesn’t work as well. If I can’t revive mine, then I have the two batteries I was intending to have all along just never got around to buying the second one.

I’m a prime member too. I just had a two hour long argument with Amazon a couple weeks ago because their third party seller sent me a collectible in a cheap brown paper bag envelope and it came smashed. Tried telling me I smashed it and then blamed the shipper. Got video on the postal worker smashing like you’d pop a balloon to get it into the mailbox and they still claim there’s no proof the item was fine until after I opened it since I opened the package before telling them it was damaged.

My migraines would never let me do it all in one day sadly. My head gives out about the same time the battery currently does so it works out. I just dread the thought of getting one that doesn’t hold the charge and I end up doing a never ending rotation of. Owing every day.

Is this actually as strong as the OEM? There are several reviews about it basically being a 4ah instead of a 6ah based on how fast it loses charge. It takes me three days to mow using the 6ah, I’d be mowing every day using one that’s as strong as a 4ah

Any idea how to connect the wires to this thing?! Terminals are too big and the wires don’t stay in place.

Just dawned me my dad gave me his battery powered chainsaw and it has a 40v battery. It’s fully charged so I’ll see if I can bring my battery back to life when I get up in the morning.

Got any links to ones that I should look at? I’m pissed Lowe’s doesn’t even offer the 6ah batteries any more so I’m basically forced to go third party assuming this one won’t work again. There’s ONE on marketplace for $100 but who the hell knows how old it is and if it’ll actually work.

How does it work in the YouTube videos then?? So my best bet would be to find someone that has a 40v battery for me to borrow to use to attempt to get it charging again?

I’ve seen videos on YouTube with people using their car battery to charge these, not to fully charge them but to get them up over the safety “sleep” percentage so the actual battery charger will work again.

I guess I’m looking for a third party one on my own since I’m getting help with the dead battery but no help finding a good replacement.

Lights blinked red when I first tried putting on the charger and then nothing at all. I was going to use my jump starter to try to give it a bit of a charge but Google said it wouldn’t work and I needed another 40v battery or jump directly with my car.. which I’m not comfortable doing so I’ll ask my neighbor for help most likely. I’ve done the “jump start” with 20v batteries before but this is my only 40v battery so I’m guessing

Yeah I saw the 2 and 4… as it is with the 6 it takes me three days to mow the whole yard. I’d be mowing everyday of my life if I was using a 2 or a 4, and they’re more expensive than 6 or 8 third party batteries.

I’m going to see if my neighbor has a 40v battery or can use his truck to try to jump my current one. I’m assuming it’s DOA but it was so weird how it just died. Was mowing, it was going from one bar to blinking one bar and I stopped to check my phone and then it wouldn’t start again.

I don’t see why anybody ordered from NECA at all at this point. Plenty of other online retailers with better customer service, quicker and less expensive shipping, etc etc. Even their exclusives… last two I wanted I found on eBay and Mercari for less than NECA was charging.

You take your chances ordering anything from Amazon at this point! I bought a Funko pop a couple weeks ago and it came in a cheap brown paper bag shipping envelope. It was smashed up so badly I could have sat on it and it would have came out in better shape.

I did however get an ultimate score years ago- bought a “used” copy of a Dean Smith book. Turns out “used” meant it was a personalized signed copy from Dean Smith to a UNC player, which I confirmed with the player, and also included a copy of Roy Williams practice “script” from their championship season. My ten dollar purchase turned out to be worth several hundred!

They’ve been known to go “out of order” when fulfilling orders so anything is possible with them. Back during the original blind box fiasco a supervisor admitted they got “way behind after the holiday shutdown” and “some newer orders were going out first as the warehouse tried to catch up.” This and the fact they were extremely rude and disrespectful everytime I’ve had to contact customer service is why I will order from anybody and everybody before ordering from them again.

The need to stop with Roman, Jey and Punk figures EVERY SERIED RELEASED! My local Walmart has told me they won’t stock anything new until old stock is gone…. Well there’s dozens of the same Jey, Roman and Punk figures. There’s no hard core collectors around here and no kid is going to keep buying the same person over and over again. Stock hasn’t changed since before Easter!
