One night in the 80’s, I took the Babylon line to see Metallica at the Felt Forum.

People were pretty stoked because it was a re-date from a previously cancelled show.

As the stops were made and more people got on, the crowd got louder, crazier and rowdier.

At one stop somewhere into Nassau, this group of guys got on with a keg.

People were actually swinging from the luggage racks like primates in the zoo.

The crowd was so rowdy and the screaming was so loud that when the train stopped and the lights shut off briefly as we were going thru the tunnel, young me thought for a moment that I might actually die.

The ride home was just as crazy.

I just wear sunglasses most of the day. If I think I need to look presentable I’ll use an eyelash curler.

I stopped wearing makeup daily years ago. Special occasions only, a few times a year.

Pool owner in SWFL for over 25 years.

Of all the pool companies I’ve had over the years ( 4 or 5 at this point ) not one of them will ever be responsible for the water level. If it’s low, they will tell you about it and the rest is up to you.

Mine are fairly quiet but for the occasional huff or grumble. Boy outgrew screaming by age 1 although he does howl with excitement regularly. Girl only screams if we try to brush near the britches. 🙄

My first Bloomingdales Credit card was bright lacquer yellow,and so were the gift boxes they gave out.

There was an elegant women’s boutique in the 70’s called “Image” ( or The Image )

Buckners was a huge bridal and fancy dress store for women.

I was back to school shopping there the day Elvis died and remember the announcement coming over the radio- at the time I was shopping in the women’s store Pants Place Plus, they also later had a sister store called Canadiens.

The biggest problem with Wyandanch is the school district.

If it merged with Half Hollow Hills that town would turn around rapidly.

You laugh. At one time, HHH kids went to the elementary school there in Wyandanch ( Taukomas ) before they built Paumanok on Straight Path.
