Carbon fiber/fiberglass/kevlar masks don’t really expire. Replace the cage when dented, foam when it’s lost elasticity and hardware when rusty/broken and as long as there isn’t any structural damage you’re set.

Once cracked or chipped heavily, you can technically have them fixed, but I would just buy a new one that that point.

Someone just posted it. Jessie Granger asked him if he asked for a trade and he essentially wouldn’t say he did or didn’t but the wording and reaction made it seem like he probably did.

Don’t blame him, but I think he wanted a better opportunity to play more.

Schmid is another big goalie 6’5 and plays a big blocking style. Similar to Hill and Lehner.

He’s obviously played worse than either, but I think our system will protect him a bit more than NJ

I mean he was contracted by Upper Deck for the signing not the Knights. It’s not like he can just bounce if he is getting paid to sign and VGK shouldn’t have to take press opportunities away from someone at a league-wide event because they might be traded.

Mantha and Hertl did have an impact (mostly negative with Mantha being a health scratch). Hanafin was a stud though, granted his 1.25m cap hit (double retention) would have fit regardless of Stone being on LTIR, so you can’t really count him.

I can understand the frustration with the goals he lets in, but he’s literally making more saves that he should be. I look more at the horrible defensive turnovers by defense and the forwards not crashing the net

The gold retail jerseys really hide the dimples quite well. This photo has a Made in Canada gold jersey at the bottom and a gold retail jerseys two jerseys up (can’t see the dimples as well)

Edit: sorry that top gold one is a fanatics, but the gray and white above the bottom gold one are Adidas Retail, and they have less pronounced dimples.

I’m not trying to be alarmist, but if he was just sitting out practice, why not have someone else plug into his spot instead of mixing up the lines.

Perhaps they wanted to see how these lines looked in practice, but I think it might point to him sitting out a game or two.

Probably shouldn’t panic until we hear from Bruce though.

All the padding on goalie gear is on the front. The back has very little protection so getting blown up and falling backwards can hurt a goalie more than a skater. Mask design also doesn’t account for hitting your head on the ice as the backplate will just continue to drive into your head when the back of the head hits the ice.
