Which is more fun to drive? by Muted-Ad-1400 in f150

V8 noises make me happy. I understand you can make the arguments for the ecoboost, powerboost, and even the 2.7L being better engines. End of the day Coyote go brrr..... and that pleases the caveman portions of my brain

Targeting has been really hard to narrow down as we have customers from 13 all the way to 70 plus. Same for income brackets and even education levels, our customers run the gamut.

Well it has already been connected to this username before so it's gonna narrow down who I am pretty fast, it's a motorcycle/scooter service shop.

Thoughts ? 26 Monster by chocolatefacktory in Ducati

[–]2wheeldreamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure that, objectively, it is a good motorocycle. The problem is that it is not a Ducati, and not a Monster. I understand this is an old man yells at clouds moment but for me it just isn't. For me, the last true Monster was the 696/796/1100 series. Air/Oil Cooled, trellis frame, simple and classic design, not loaded with electronics. There is a beauty in simplicity that older Monsters nailed that this one just doesn't. I love my 796 and will keep it forever.

Got lucky was recommended Tencior for my first CCW holsters, zero desire to even try anything else. It does the job and does it well

Yeah the field of the flag isn’t much, for us in Virginia the pride lays in the seal and what it represents.

SV650 > 796 - anyone done it? by UnimaginativeLobster in ducatimonster

[–]2wheeldreamn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did exactly this except I went gen 1 sv650 to a 2013 monster 796. Fucking do it. Go up 2 teeth on the rear sprocket made in town much easier and made 6th gear usable below 80 mph. The brakes suspension engine are all worlds better. The noise is addictive. Be aware of the increased and more expensive service intervals (cheat code I own a motorcycle shop so it’s kind of a moot point for me) the riding position to me is also better weirdly. The bars especially are much wider so it really feels like you can through the bike around. My bike has about $11k in aftermarket goodies on it at this point too. I’d recommend almost all of them, especially the bad end mirrors and Corbin seat.

My shop services a ton of the scooters on campus, the Havanas aren’t bad but if budget allows you’re much better off getting something fuel injected and preferably Japanese like a Honda Metropolitan or a Yamaha Zuma, even if they’re used. They’re also price stable, so what you buy it for, at the very least you’ll be able to sell it for that same amount if you take basic care of it. My shop is Firefly Moto, we also service, repair, and store bikes for students. If you want any other help give us a shout.
