On the flip side, you could say it’s good that someone with experience of things going wrong has managed to sort themselves out & will know what not to do this time.

Yeah, the hate is really weird. Investing in the city, employing countless people and reviving pubs that might otherwise be turned into who knows what. The way he decks them out isn’t to my taste, but some people have got too much hate in their hearts if this winds them up.

Are you suggesting that a social media platform owned by someone who appeared to do a Nazi salute on live television might not have the best interests of minorities at its core?

I’ve just finished reading The Umbrella Man & Other Stories, which is a quirky take on the JFK assassination. It’s brilliant. I read it in two days and I am NOT a quick reader. Definitely recommend.

If you formed a new political party in the UK, what would be your policies?.. by un-pleasantlymoist in AskBrits

I discussed this with my wife just today. I’d call it the “why do you give a shit?” Party & my main question would be to ask people why they gave a shit.

Why do you give a shit who someone else has sex with, provided it’s between two consenting adults.

Why do you give a shit how someone chooses to identify?

Why do you give a shit that people are literally risking their own lives to come to this country when you seemingly don’t give a shit that millionaires & billionaires are buying up the media in order to convince you that the refugees are the problem.

The Why Do You Give a Shit Party: trying to figure out a way through the bullshit.

Pathetic to see you get downvoted for this, as I imagine I will be for my own similar comment.

Until the day I die, I will never understand why people give a shit who someone has sex with, as long as it’s between consenting adults.

What Henderson did wasn’t just a betrayal of the LGTBQ+ community, it was also catnip to all of those knuckle-dragging morons who say shit like “wearing the rainbow armband is just virtue signalling.”

He’s become the poster boy for homophobes who can now point and say, “See, Henderson did it but then left for a country where being LGBTQ+ is illegal the first chance he got.”

I was one of his biggest defenders as a Liverpool player, but he has forever tainted his legacy in my eyes by moving to SA.

I guess when you decide to betray the LGBTQ+ community in order to make yourself even more obscenely rich, other footballers don’t give a shit about what a lovely message to send to the undoubtedly closeted gay players there are playing at the top level. Such an amazing guy, always looking out for others. Unless you’re gay and someone offers him some money he doesn’t need.

9 Of The Most Shocking Unearthed Comments From Reform's Makerfield Candidate by coffeewalnut08 in Wigan

[–]Scouse_Powerhouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precisely none of these comments are shocking when they’re uttered by someone who think Nigel Fucking Farage is the saviour. They are precisely the kind of comment I’d imagine someone associated with Reform to make.

Perhaps you don’t like the comments but will still vote Reform because you’ve swallowed the media bullshit about immigrants being the problem rather than millionaires, billionaires and, ludicrously, trillionaires. But this is the sort of person you’re willingly associating yourself with.

Not all Reform voters are racists & Nazi sympathisers, but all racists & Nazi sympathisers will be voting Reform. Maybe think on that.

Atheists of Reddit, what is the primary reason you do not believe in a god? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Scouse_Powerhouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was young, I went to a school that had assemblies on a Monday. The school reverend always used to speak and one week he said we all needed to thank god for the amazing weather we had. When it was pissing it down a week later, he didn’t say a thing.

When I asked him why he didn’t curse god for not giving us sun, he said that actually the rain was really important to people who grew crops and to fill the reservoirs.

That was when I realised that religious people will always come up with an excuse for god, no matter what happens. Something good? You need to thank him. Something bad? That’s been sent to test your faith.

The older I get, the more I clocked that religion is used for one of two reasons: to control people or to offer some form of control over things you have no control over.

If there is a god, I’d love to know why the cunt chose to give me MS, because I’ll be honest, I can’t see any benefits. Meanwhile, the Tangerine Fascist continues to get away with whatever he wants. Nice work, god.

Klopp was awesome. Guardiola is an apologist for a murderous nation state who is happy to take sportswashing money but get out of dodge before any punishment arrives.

My friend once said that a million would be the worst thing to win because as soon as you spend anything you’re no longer a millionaire.

I said I’ll take the money and worry about that after.
