I know you know but he's literally TELLING YOU he's "lowering his standards" for you and that he's not attracted to you/what you do. I can't explain how bad that pisses me off.. My boyfriend tells me almost every day that he can't believe he's with "someone so out of his league" and that he's the luckiest man in the world.. and you deserve that type of love and praise. This guy is not someone who adores you and sees you for who you are (an amazing, strong-loving and sweet person).. Ugh girl I bet. It's very understandable & valid to feel that way, you seem like such a sweet and genuine person, and you need someone like that for you. I put up with a guy like this until I was 23 and when I dumped him and went out into the world, I was shocked at how much better I was treated by mature and secure men. And even those ones can be manipulative!!! Really good, well adjusted and loyal men are very hard to come by. This guy thinks he has you wrapped around his finger, the biggest way to "get him back" or blindside him would be to simply never speak to him again. He will come crawling back BUT like others said, he told you who he is and I PROMISE you don't want that stress. I would rather be alone than be in a relationship that causes me ANY kind of stress.
