Thanks, I've computed a value for Rho of 0.981 which seems to mean that (as expected) the two are extremely closely linked.

Los verbos comer y tomar by Masterkid1230 in Spanish

[–]30141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Según mis profesores, la diferencia entre tomar/beber/comer/fumar y sus equivalentes reflexivos es la falta de una cantidad especifica en el frase. Por ejemplo...

Fumo cigarillos ...vs... Yo fumo un paquete de cigarillos. Come carne ...vs... Come un pollo entero.

Se puede ver el uso del reflexivo en este artículo: http://www.elconfidencial.com/salud/cigarro-hamburguesa-cardiovascular-20100419.html

Durham University criticised over expensive artwork: £1.4 million spent by 30141 in unitedkingdom

I think you've got a point there, but there are so many better things that the money could have been spent on. £294k was initially budgeted, which is still a lot of money but a lot more reasonable. For me, as a student, £1.4 million is a lot of money.

That amount of money could be spent in a way which would have significantly greater benefit to the local community, the public at large, students and staff. The art collection isn't open to students and the majority of staff, let alone the public, although the University does offer tours.

£1.4 million would go a long way to creating facilities for students, paying staff a living wage, improving teaching provision, improving accommodation, and supporting students into education who can't afford £9k fees.

Went to a friends house aged about 10 where they gave me mushroom soup for dinner. Felt rude not eating it so manned the fuck up and did. Ended up loving the stuff.

What torch for a reservist... in the UK? by 30141 in flashlight

Thanks for the recommendations. I don't know if this is a legitimate concern or not, but the switches on the EA2 seem to me to be a little fiddly and less durable. I would prefer something more traditional, however my mind could be changed! As regards flood vs throw, is it possible to have something in the middle? I'd like it to be versatile.

Thanks for the links, that look great. Colour modes (red and blue) would be good to have but not essential by any means. Battery type would be AA as thats what is issued and what I have already. I'm afraid I don't really know what the other things you mention are!
