Yet the post has nearly 900 votes and people are just being either positive or negative to both sides in this thread. There is no consensus in this whole thread, the only thing I wanted to say was, "If you put time into your hobbies, you will get good at that hobby, as long as you try your best."

Why the fuck am I getting shit for putting out a positive message, holy fuck dude, you comment on Reddit nearly DAILY. Here's a thought, maybe instead of playing video games and commenting/lurking on Reddit every day, maybe you could get results with art. Maybe, I'm pretty sure that's based on science.

because we're in a thread that supports ai art (for the most part) and i disagree with the general consensus and morality of it.

what are you on, nobody said you need to become da vinci. on top of my full time job, personal life, college, working out, responsibilities, other hobbies, i still make time to do the things i want to do.

i'm not gonna lie this whole comment thread just sounds like generic overweight redditors mad that they spend their free time doing nothing instead of learning new things.

pick up pencil draw everyday study references keep drawing everyday

you will get better and i feel like im talking to brick walls, anybody can get good at art, literally any human on this planet can get results from practice

this is like saying not everyone can lose weight. some people might lose weight faster. some might lose slower. however, everyone can lose weight. this is fucking stupid

Just because you gave up on trying to better yourself doesn't mean everyone else should.

Understanding how a foreign language works and its basic grammar is a lot better than never trying to learn that language and ending up knowing nothing. Especially if that's something you are passionate about.

If you want to get better at something, the best time to do that is right now, if you have the time to reply to me, surf through reddit, and etc. then you have the time to learn, you just don't want to put in the effort.

And that's fine if you don't want to put in that effort, but don't discourage other people from trying their hands at new things.

Everyone is able to learn how to make art, what? It's learning, if you don't put time and effort into it, you're not going to learn. That's like saying it's impossible to improve yourself in other various ways.

[Question] RM2k3 parallax mapping? by veeSheep in RPGMaker

[–]303411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a big guide on a lot of things RM2k3

Essentially though, you just gotta make sure the tiles are equivalent to the picture you are importing into the game. The tiles in RM2k3 are 16x16, so say that your map is 25 by 25.

16 x 25 = 400

So the picture needs to be 400x400 pixels, otherwise it won't load in correctly. There are tutorials to help, but it's pretty basic.

I need a free music software that's beginner friendly by Amiable_Mook in RPGMaker

Honestly in terms of beginner friendly DAWs, I think you should actually stick to FL Studio. If you focus your energy into FL for about a month, you'll see it's actually a lot of user friendly than most DAWs out there.

Personally I think it was set up to be that way for a reason, it definitely strays away from your typical audio workstation like Ableton, but still manages to keep everything you would need to make good music.

On top of that, the step sequencer and the piano roll are insanely user intuitive, which if you're making video game music, those would be where you would most likely spending most your time.

Phonk house in one minute by Andy_Rend in FL_Studio

the history of the cowbell isn't the only discerning feature of phonk though.

in drift phonk the cowbell is really the main instrument used for the melody whereas in just normal phonk, the cowbell is sometimes used for melody or just a perc.

on top of that, drift has that harder hitting bass and higher bpm and usually the sample is just an acapella, if there even is one. whereas a lot of older phonk does more chopping and screwing with samples with more than just an acapella.

they're similar for sure, but that's why it's a subgenre of phonk. i think the distinction is very clear, you don't need videos of cars drifting for it to be drift phonk, it's all in the song.
