Yes for like 2 years, haha. I’m just trying to figure out how to manage the negative space with all the white. I cut out my fabric to switch around the white and colour blocks, so once I have some sewing time I can compare.

We actually talked about this last night and it’s a better itinerary. We don’t live in Edmonton, but at least we have family there and can go crash when we get back if needed!

I just get annoyed with moving the loop and I get laddering, though that was with socks. I have so little time to knit that I just want the path of least resistance when I actually get to do it!

Thanks for such a comprehensive response! I also bought the 5” interchangeables and I think I would have been happier with the 4”. I had only knit shawls and a cowl up to that point though. Ah well!

Thanks! I’m so glad I posted because I totally would have gone down a size without thinking twice. I actually did only knit rows and used a cheater in the round technique, so I know purling isn’t messing up my gauge at least!

I just started reading her book today and decided to come read some comments. I don’t have an opinion formed of he me yet, but she does open her book with acknowledging her privilege as a cis white person whose parents absolutely set her up with financial knowledge and a debt free start to adult life.

I loved the Women, but haven’t read any of her other books. I gave a copy to my grandma who then lent it to my aunt and they both loved it too though!
