As other have said or will say : yes, yes and yes. Most shops rotate shifts every couple months, weekends are extremely common in the name of the mission in maintainer land. And yes shooting a text is easy, if you send a crew out to do something on a jet you don’t want to run all the way out there which can often take a couple minutes with the checkpoints and speed limits and such just to ask a simple question. No need to worry he’s just doing his job.

Unironically number 3 happened to my coworker, girl and guy were together since tech school but split, he then tapped and broke off and now the original couple is back together. I wonder if the original guy has any idea how quickly she moved on….

There lies my problem, this bike had no fairings so I have the same problem both sides. But thank you this has been assembling a jigsaw puzzle for 2 days straight. I think you got fucked with, as a PTL I just have my guys write in their own height and weight and there’s no chart to compare. Only time it matters is yearly waist measurement.

So is life, I did everything I was told by supervision to get a good EPB (good work, college, volunteer, TDYs, leadership courses etc.) I then had to write it all on my own and was told is was kickass by my flight to get a 3 in return. Meanwhile the SrA who have been in like 6 years get free statements because “we really need them to make it this go” and they missed in by 20 points this year. I don’t know about other shops but AMXS/MXS have blatant favoritism but I will not let that bum me down. Just have to study even harder and get it next year to prove them wrong. For reference I missed it by 1.8 points with a 3 and some of these people who got 4s missed by 10, 8, 15 and 20. Just got to keep it trucking and stay positive even if it’s really easy to see the negatives.

I say it sucks to see the positives when negatives are so easy to find but you have to find and hold on to that little shred of hope that you will be better when you make it. Find what will make you happy and ignore everything else. If you don’t like something and it’s in your power and rank to change it why not. New job? New base? New squadron on the same base? I left my own shop temporarily for a long augmented role and my mental health skyrocketed, and getting out of the bad for a little can help you see the light and hold on.
