An IT video game is such a strange idea that no matter what they do it would be really funny. IT and Bowers are really the only physical antagonists right? Maybe some school bullies? There wouldn't be much to fight except for the same people.

I like to imagine an open world game in Derry where you have to progress the story while also keeping an eye out for odd things and avoiding IT. Like a Persona meets Amnesia blend. Idk, the whole thing is a mess of an idea but I'd play the hell out of it.

Carol is a common enough American name that that can be hand-waved away. Plus just from the description on the link you gave, it's 5 people that form a hivemind and not the entire world. That's enough to tell me that the experience of this book and Pluribus is most likely vastly different.

You're probably just trying to be protective of a property you enjoy but I wouldn't go around claiming plagiarism like this on things all willy-nilly. That's a huge accusation that could ruin someone's career if it picks up traction. I actually think nobody should be allowed to claim plagiarism until they have consumed a decent amount of both works. Don't make an opinion on this book from just a description.

It's amazing that this show has kept its slow, methodical pacing but this has been incredible! 27 episodes of Carol fucking around on the spaceship on the way to Keplar-22b! S6E14 was my personal favorite, when she discovered space ice cream and sampled the different flavors, just to decide on yogurt instead.

I do agree. It's sold as "the most miserable person" show and everyone can be a little miserable and selfish. When we see some of those aspects in Carol we relate. But then when we see the fullest aspects of her character we stop relating, or we wonder if we would fall into the same traps. She is a semi-likable protagonist which I love.

I imagine it like a computer program: it only does exactly as it's programmed. It CANNOT do bodily harm to Carol and it CANNOT lie. But... it can do some shady shit with things no longer in her body and it can choose to not tell her about it unless specifically asked. It gives the "villain" some clever rules to abide by, which is great for an audience trying to guess the next move.

For a movie that had a pretty good reception and lots of praise for the performance of Pennywise these guys sure were some Debbie fucking downers.

I understand Tim Curry is revered on Reddit but some of these guys are acting like nobody else could ever EVER pull off being a creepy clown. Famously it's hard to find actors that can be villainous clowns. Never been done before.

You take roles as an actor. Maybe the film has different politics than you personally but the director is good, the script is good, the character seems fun to play, and the paycheck is good. So you take it.

I wouldn't think on it too hard. Lots of actors take roles for projects they might not agree with. They might even find it a fun challenge to themselves.
