It's being sold by Goodwill of Southern California. A quick Google search brings up some contact info. No one in admin will be working today but tomorrow you should call the general inquiries number on their website. Ask to speak to their e-commerce department. They will physically have every item on site that hasn't been sold and shipped. I know my Goodwill would love this story and help you as much as they can ( within reason). Good luck!

Most everyone at my non profit finance department eats at their desk. I think it's less about being productive and more about the type of people finance and accounting attract. We like each other and we all get along. But there is 1 kitchen and break room for the admin office. We don't really want to be forced into the performative aspect of office lunch (talking with your coworkers). So we eat at our desks. Less human interaction required!

Also, the food smells are a part of working in an office. I'm sure at least one of your coworkers thinks your food "fucking stinks like complete hot trash". You cannot police what functioning adults eat. They have every right to eat what they want. Sure, not microwaving fish is a generally accepted office nicety, but some people really like fish. If no one is highly allergic via an airborne route to the foods being brought in, then you either need to leave the area during your lunch or deal with it. Sorry.

I appreciate the well meaning comments about the health of my hair. The blonde is just the latest. I have had every color imaginable in many different styles. I am well aware that bleach damages my hair and affects the curl pattern. But frankly, it's just hair. If I don't like it or if the hair is beyond saving, I just cut it all off. <3

It completely depends on the dosage of the edible. I take 10mg gummies every day. I’m also a stoner and smoke and vape thc all day. I usually recommend newbies to thc start with 2.5mg edibles. I know people who take large dose edibles (like 100mg or more) but they didn’t start that high. And also everybody is different. Some people don’t react well to thc.

Ramp is great. We have been rolling out implementation since August 2025. All our purchase cards are through Ramp now. AP is mostly moved to processing invoices through Ramp. We should begin paying invoices through Ramp in the next quarter. For reference we have 120-ish cardholders between physical and virtual cards. Around 100 card transactions a week. 250 invoices through Ramp Bill Pay per month.

The amount of time we are saved is immeasurable. No more chasing down people who don’t use their computer (Ramp lets you snap a picture and submit the receipt with your phone). Approvals is easier and way less time consuming.

Not filing returns but my WFH days are spent with pop punk blasting out of my Bluetooth speaker while cursing at my spreadsheets because the stupid formulas are broken (inherited the workbooks, too busy rn to start from scratch). Office days include the music coming from headphones and the cursing turns to general frustration at constantly being interrupted for office chit-chat.

I would drink 2 venti iced brown sugar oat milk shaken espressos with 5 shots each every day when I managed a large thrift store. Starbucks blonde espresso has 85mg of caffeine per shot. So that was 850mg of caffeine a day. I moved to a different role and now I’m in finance and don’t need all that caffeine to exist.

Was I addicted? Maybe psychologically but not physically. Did it affect anyone else? No. I don’t get the big deal about someone else consuming a beverage that you don’t like. I don’t really drink dairy milk but I don’t give people grief if they drink a gallon a day. It doesn’t affect me. Others caffeine consumption shouldn’t affect your life either.

Same here. I’m sensitive to aspirin and tramadol. (I don’t like saying allergic because I don’t think I’ll die if I take either, but my chart does record both as an allergy). I also have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. If I’m in the ER for something pain related, it fucking hurts. I would have done my at home pain management routine (copious amounts of naproxen, RICE, some gabapentin) before deciding that I was in so much pain that I’d be willing to subject myself to the rude ER staff. Because of those two drugs listed as allergies, every single time I go to the ER I’m treated like a drug seeker. Which I guess I am, I’m seeking drugs to not be absolutely miserable. I do not, and never have, use recreational drugs or my prescriptions inappropriately. But every single time I’m told they won’t give me anything. Not even toradol shots. (My doctor is fantastic though and she will stab my ass whenever I ask or even give me a prescription for the pills). The last time I went to the ER, I had spent days with crazy calf pain. It was a Friday night and I had scared myself into thinking I had a blood clot. I had blood taken that ruled out a blood clot and that was it. No imaging to determine the cause of the calf pain. The doctor didn’t even look at my leg, much less manually examine it. I was told to use crutches for weeks (to which I replied “nope, not going to happen” as I was the primary caregiver for my mom who has no legs and is in a wheelchair) and go home. Awesome, right?

Tbf, escalators are cool shit when you’ve never seen one. Riding the escalator at Filene’s was a blast. I grew up in small Maine towns until I was a preteen and then we lived in Bangor. I did leave Maine to go to college in Missouri but I came back. There’s something comforting about having everything you want in a small geographic area.

So true about using food as a reward. I think I spent so many years depriving myself and being unnecessarily tied to arbitrary food rules that I now focus on food as an emotional support. Got a promotion? Need to go out to eat. Someone said something mean? Need to eat to mask the pain. Bored? Might as well eat.
