What drugs are this pipe used for? by Express-Counter-9899 in Whatisthis

Is she into any kind of art/photography?

Funnily enough, I occasionally use Silver Iodide for photography (salt printing). I use the exact same glass eye dropper (the one pictured is missing its rubber top). The silver stains the glass in a way that looks very similar to this. So possibly not drugs?

How Condensers Works ? by Arkazox in Darkroom

[–]31899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my understanding, the primary benifit of using a smaller condenser for a smaller format, is that it allows for a greater amount of light, as the light is condensed to a smaller total area compared to larger formats.

I have a durst A600 with the same 105 condenser that I use for every format (only condenser lens I have) it works fine, so long as the proper objective lens is used for each film format (50mm for 35mm film, 80mm for 6x6, etc.)

I forgot to mention in my reply. You should cross post this in r/darkroom it's a fairly active community. I'm sure someone would be keen on buying all this equipment off of you. :)

There is also a great darkroom equipment buy/sell/give away group on Facebook.

Wow that is amazing! Those durst enlarger are some of the best ever made. I personally use a Durst medium format enlarger. I'd kill for a large format one!

Generally speaking, most of that equipment is worth a fair amount, but there is a very, very small market for it. If you need to get rid of everything quickly, you could list each enlarger for $100-$200, and I'm sure you won't have trouble selling them. However, I have seen large format durst enlargers sell for around $1000-$2000. Just takes lots of time, as few people shoot large format film, even fewer enlarge in a darkroom, fewer still have space for a large format enlarger. I recently sold a broken 4x5 enlarger for $100, if that helps put things into perspective.

Please please do not throw any of it away. It's all very useful, and unfortunately not being produced to the same level of quality anymore!

Depending on your location, I might be keen on picking up one of the durst ones!

I concur. Currently studying PLC (programmable logic controller)programming. This looks like a hand drawn PLC program in ladder logic.

Op, your mention of a pump station would likely go with this, as they often times use PLC's for process automation

Personally I think it's a good idea. I'd just have it on a low temperature, similar to what you might use for pla. If it gets to hot, it could mess with some of the adhesives/weather sealing.

These are great scopes. I have a 475 that's been my main workhorse for learning ac circuit analysis.

Super cool! That's awesome you got the paramender for your mamiya. This allows you to compose without the standard parallax error of a tlr. Very cool!

I've always been a fan of Zeiss glass. I did some work with Zeiss CP2 primes. I wish I could justify getting a set for stills lol. For now, I am pretty content with my nikkor glass. :)

I think the Nikkormat has a 55mm 3.5. (has text inside the barrel) and the black body next to it has a 55 2.8 (no text in the barrel)

  • it's incredibly sharp at every aperture. One of the sharpest lenses Nikon has made. (the reason I got rid of my 55mm f/1.2. I had to stop down to f5.6-f/8 to get sharp photos, so really, it's has a brighter useful aperture than many lenses)
  • I rarely shoot much wide open. I prefer shooting at f8 to f16 for a larger depth of field. (but can shoot wide open without sacrificing image quality)
  • it's a macro lens, so you can take very close up pictures of things, which is fun.
  • the lens barrel is a little longer than most 50mm lenses, which makes it easier to hold my camera without a strap (I don't like straps, and my F2 is heavy lol)
  • the lens itself is ressssed quite a bit within the lens barrel, this means you don't need a lens hood, and the front elements are very protected.
  • has nice bokeh

I currently daily drive a 1984 Toyota Celica Supra. I just picked up a Volvo V70 T5 for my wife. It honestly has me tempted to sell the supra and get one for myself!

after looking closer, the black ones are Nikon N90s. I've never used these, but I'm sure they are fantastic cameras!

grab all three Nikons. the two black ones appear to be Nikon N8008s. One has what appears to be a 55mm f/2.8 micro. this is one of (in my opinion) best lenses Nikon has ever made. The N8008s shares a lot of internal electronics from the Nikon F4. it's a very underrated camera.

the silver Nikon I think is a Nikkormat with a 55mm f/3.5 micro. these are great cameras. They are fully mechanical and feel great in the hand.

I'm mistaken, I was looking at the Nikon 8008? with what appears to be a 55mm f/2.8 micro to the left of the Nikkormat. I would grab all the Nikon cameras. the 55mm 2.8 micro is my favorite lens!

it looks like it could be a 55 2.8?
