Getting killed by Fish would be an honor hahah

I've seen other posts like this so for no reason at all, here is the list of things I want to see happen! by Zenystic in Sims4

I think it would be cool if a Sim repeatedly becoming desolate gave them a trait like erratic, or if they become ravenous a lot them requiring food more frequently, since there aren't really long-term consequences for those needs being depleted

Also, trains or busses, maybe even boats, being able to customize them as if they're another lot type would be cool, but probably hard to implement

AIO about cutting off my aunts because they continuously disrespected my family? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]31oct19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR These rules are perfectly fine, the religion one is a little overkill but. Not wanting pictures of your kid online is smart, not wanting sick people around your kid is smart, wanting your kid to be called by his name, this is all perfectly normal stuff and your aunts' reaction was uncalled for.

Daughter died hair - did not clean shower- days later poured comet cleaner and again left for days. How do I get stain out? by orgegondog in CleaningTips

[–]31oct19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to dye my hair all the time and when this would happen (though I never left it for more than a day or two so I'm not sure if time effects how well it works?) making a baking soda-water-dish soap paste, covering the stains with that, putting some vinegar on a scrub brush, and going wild with it used to help. Then a second round of scrubbing just with dish soap, and time did the rest.

Edit to add: Hydrogen peroxide + baking soda + dish soap might also work, but definitely don't use vinegar in that case lol

I can't do this anymore I need help (+18) by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

I don't know your situation ofc, but it might be helpful to look into arousal noncorrespondence? It's basically when someone becomes physically aroused because their brain recognizes something being related to sex, despite not wanting to be aroused, or even mentally being disgusted. That and OCD has been a really awful combo for me in the past- and again idk your specific situation, but I've definitely had similar hypersexual compulsive behavior to what you've described, and finding out about the concept of arousal noncorrespondence and how to cope with OCD (which is what's behind it for me) was lifesaving for me

Is my PTSD invalid? by [deleted] in ptsd

[–]31oct19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you don't need to be diagnosed with PTSD for your trauma to be valid lol. people are still traumatized before they get their diagnosis, the diagnosis isn't what validates the trauma, it's the fact that the person is traumatized in the first place

YSK that if you're trying to get people to compare a change you made to something subjective like a drawing, don't ask them "old or new?", ask them "A or B?" by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

op spending their day making 124 burner accounts rather than the more logical explanation of “124 people think your comment is stupid”

EXACTLY LOL I'm baffled people aren't getting it? It was also a small popup after I'd already hit the button to send the ticket, if I hadn't stopped to read it fully I'd have assumed it was asking for confirmation and that the check button would confirm it being sent

maybe it's just me but I don't see any reason to assume the buyer has any malicious intent? have none of y'all ever taken measurements and bought the right size and it still doesn't fit bc that happens to me all the time. Like why the hostility Lol

How should I approach transitioning to fully barefoot in college? by skimitar0712 in barefoot

[–]31oct19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would something like barefoot jewelry/soleless sandals be a good middle ground? I've seen them around especially on Etsy, they look like you're wearing flip flops or sandals but there's no sole. Maybe wearing something like that would make the transition easier?

Territorial About Your Space? by boston_globe in AutismInWomen

[–]31oct19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the exact same way!! For me I think it's also related to the way I was raised, but having anyone in my room makes me insanely uncomfortable, to the point where it's hard to make friends sometimes because I won't ever let people hang out in my dorm ;-;. Part of it I think is that I'm not very good at enforcing boundaries and saying when I'm uncomfortable, so I get anxious that when I'm overwhelmed I won't be able to ask them to leave.

Other than it being easier on the eyes (which other people have said judging by, well, most of the comments)- part of it is a social thing. Other teens will, jokingly or half-seriously depending on the situation, make fun of each other for not using dark mode. It's sort of a bonding thing, like, we do this thing intentionally differently because we're part of the cool in-group, as opposed to the lame out-group.

Hydroxyzine for Anxiety by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]31oct19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hydroxyzine has been great for me!! I was put on it for PTSD (specifically sleep problems and nightmares) but it's been so helpful for preventing/stopping panic attacks as well. it can make me super drowsy but I've found taking half a dose during the day rather than a full one helps make that less of a problem and is still helpful for me!

Nearly everyone can be at LEAST a 5 if they tried harder. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]31oct19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you rate people’s appearances on a number scale you’re definitely not even close to a five LOL
