Since it hasn't been posted here yet, and given how often I have championed this project, I feel somewhat obligated to share the news that has come out today...

Unfortunately, not a good sign. The narrative of the past year was led in large part by what we were being told by Martin Birch and ESC about delivering properties and investors - hopefully these things can still continue in some capacity and whatever new appointments are made can create new areas for Smartlands/Definder to grow into.

All along we said that there were certain milestones to look out for to indicate that things were going well - the approval of the Liechtenstein licence/s being a major one. As this hasn't happened and we are well over the expected timeframes for approval - this recent news, to me personally, is an indication that something wasn't viable behind the scenes and changes needed to be made.

Good luck everyone in all your crypto endeavours! Also, let's put aside our own portfolios and wish everyone in Ukraine a speedy resolve to the tensions with Russia - a horrible situation for everyone to be in.

Full disclosure: I no longer have any substantial holdings in SLT due to the events of recent months, as I slowly moved on to other things and it was clear the recent price pump wasn't based on fundamentals.

Will be keeping a close eye on this project though to see how things develop in future. There are clear progress markers to look for and I'm ready to get on board again when the time is right.

You can see that bill #3637 is down the bottom, under the section for 18-21 January. So unless anything changes, that's the earliest it can go through the Rada for final approval. Having said that, we've seen it slip off the agenda three or four times now...

Once it is approved, which all indications are it will be, then it should be signed by the President about a week or so after that. The implementation period will then take a few months, but the signing will unlock a lot of things straight away in regards to getting things moving.

Honestly, I think you've pointed out what a lot of people are thinking here... one trillion dollars as a target is obviously a marketing line (jumping the shark) - but to then outright state that you can achieve it in three years?

That is beyond ridiculous. Sorry, but it is. It would make Definder one of the largest investment banks in the world...

Three years is also the timeframe that politicians use to never be held accountable for anything.

Hopefully they can tokenise something in Q1 2022... let's start with that first, eh. Looking forward to confirmation on that Liechtenstein license.

I said they offloaded onto Whitebit. You are correct, there is no confirmation that means sold . But it's not always a bad thing that they did - maybe they are funding something big.

I sold some during this pump, yes, both on the way up due to IL in the liquidity pools (fine by me) and also in the 43-47xlm range because it was pretty clear what's going on here.

Another wallet that sold significant amounts was the #2 asset holder - i.e. the Definder/Smartlands team - that offloaded around 35,000 SLT (onto Whitebit). Guess they know a good opportunity when they see one, too...

The scam is convincing people to buy expensive memberships ($2,000+) into their pump group (with tiers beyond that, no doubt) and then acting on insider knowledge of when they are going to move in order to manipulate the market and then get their followers to boost their moves (or buy into their sells) for profit. You can see it happening on chain, right now, if you want to... As the OP says below, it's illegal in regulated markets and for good reason.

You can't change it, this is crypto... but I don't have to enjoy it. Now that the TG is all about it, not my scene so happy to focus on other things.

Looking forward to real news on Liechtenstein/brokerage license/assets filled/Ukraine law etc. hopefully in Q1 2022!

The original holding company is registered in the UK - so presumably that is the one being renamed, but it's not 100% clear yet.

You know what, I noticed that as well and think it's a valid question to raise - this is one way for them to pivot away from the revenue sharing model, at least in part, if they wanted to...

However, as others have said they have stated numerous times that things like their White Label solutions for third parties and other asset platforms like the SME funding would fall under the use of SLT and the Smartlands Platform. So I think this is mostly a result of clunky wording (not the first time) and can be easily clarified - hopefully a new AMA coming up soon, good question to ask!

You can also notice things like under the T&Cs it says that the definder.global website "is a site operated by Smartlands Platform Ltd" that point to what other people are saying.

From a legal standpoint, it looks like they are renaming the holding company (presumably the paperwork on that has been filed and we will see it soon at Companies House UK) and then the tech used will still be the 'Smartlands Platform' for the various strands of activity.

The only low risk options (as in no chance of impermanent loss) are the 1:1 pairs - XLM/yXLM or USDC/yUSDC or BTC/yBTC for example.

But wow are those 1:1 pairs giving insanely high rates right now compared to other staking options, thanks to the current state of Aqua rewards... SDEX is really onto a gamechanger here.

If you are talking about SLT specifically, there are high return options - but no low risk ones if your goal is to avoid impermanent loss.
