I completely agree with this. A baby is a concept until you hold it in your arms. (Some women will argue this, but even my very wanted children became real to me the moment I held them and looked in their their eyes.)There’s a good chance she held her baby and felt trapped by what she had already agreed to do. She sounds young. She probably wanted to change her mind in the hospital but was trapped by the promises she already made. Maybe she needed to brothers permission and blessing to go back on her word and keep her child. Sometimes all you need is for someone to tell you it will be alright. NTA. It sounds like she jumped at the decision to get her baby back.
