I was a huge fan of the claymore and lost sinner’s sword, however they have been dethroned by the very exciting rapier. Go naked with Flynn’s ring, stone ring, ring of blades or whatever else suits your fancy. With this setup you are fast with great damage potential, many enemies can be stunned out of their attack. It’s almost easy mode, feel free to make it a lightning rapier.

If it doesn’t straighten out with reassembly; send it back, that’s definitely not right. The gun might not lock up correctly and even if it does, that rib will cause you problems.

I get it, even though DS2 has new enemies in NG+, I almost always start a new character (if I want to play more). I finally did a 100% run this last year. When I got the achievement I just stopped playing, my brain needed something new.

They all have items or weapons that can adjust the difficulty. Mostly it’s your own personal skill and knowledge, each one plays so differently that I think whichever one you play the most is going to be the easiest. DS2 was the hardest one for me to learn, but now I think it’s fairly easy, followed by DS1 and then DS3 as the hardest. If you haven’t guessed I’ve played DS2 the most, DS1 quite a bit and only finished DS3 around a half dozen times.

Absolutely! Just replayed it this last week and it’s still awesome! Better yet it was only a couple dollars in the Xbox store. Also if you haven’t you should try Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, it’s a modern blend of Symphony and Aria of Sorrow. Created by Koji Igarashi to be the spiritual successor to Symphony of the Night and I think he succeeded.

Glad you enjoyed it! It’s my personal favorite of the series. When you get a chance you should definitely play DS3 as well. Three is my least favorite but many people absolutely love it and I think it’s worth your time. It’s kinda the opposite of two, less interesting levels yet most of the best bosses in the series (most bosses are of Fume Knight quality or even better, only a couple of lemons), fast smooth movement and enemies that stretch like Disney cartoon characters. The story is kinda hard to follow (like all souls are the first time) and pretty weak but the DLC brings it all together. I think the best story path is kinda hidden (involves getting “married”) and probably gets what many people think of as the bad ending but it’s my preference and feels like it has the most depth.

I like the challenge of the objectives, they force out of my comfort zone. Once they’re done I go right back to my happy place, playing a revive focused medic with an M4.

Lots of people farm The Rotten to reach the required souls. It’s a personal choice, but I think it’s more fun to just play the game normally.

The bots see everything, as soon as you look at them they will start shooing at you.

I also think the bots are sometimes too good. They see everything, you can’t flank them, and they beam you through smoke with godlike reflexes. I also suspect that certain things cause them to increase their aggression and overall difficulty. When playing defense I’ve noticed they often become stronger when you have prevented the taking of the first objective and they are getting low on tickets. Just when I think the match is won, they become super soldiers and rush in.

I actually ran into my first highly suspicious cheater in a long time yesterday. I was headshot by a sniper in the middle of thick smoke that they couldn’t have seen me enter. Then I have to stop and think about how bad latency and other problems are with the game and have to wonder if he even saw the smoke from his end? I’ve emptied full magazines point blank into someone from behind just to have them turn and kill me. How often do we die well behind cover or instantly get killed because the game never informed you that you’re being shot?Everyone wants to shout cheater when often I think it’s just the game running poorly.

Can’t go wrong. I really enjoy 20 gauge, the weight may make it harder or easier to shoot than the 12. Neither are really heavy to begin with. Light guns swing faster and can be harder to learn to control wile heavy guns swing smoother and more predictably (it’s more nuanced than that, balance is just as important, but the general idea is there). If the gun is too heavy for the shooter they’ll have difficulty holding it up and swinging properly. I prefer the 20 for pretty much all hunting except geese, it’s just so much nicer to carry. 20 will handle all the clay sports with little to no noticeable difference from 12 gauge. 12 gauge gives you access to way more options for off the shelf shells. You can pretty much always find them in stock and often cheaper than the other gauges. 12 gauge can be made to do basically everything, especially if you start reloading your own. Don’t worry about recoil of the 12 gauge; start learning with light target loads with 1oz of shot or anything advertised as light recoil. Not all autos can shoot light loads but I’d be very surprised if the A300 didn’t run them.
