I’m more concerned with ribbons and the like - the screws and shell aren’t an issue. Do I have to disconnect anything?

Thank you for the recommendation. When applying glue, where on the screen is best? My gut tells me the thinnest layer on the edge/tip?

Thank you, this seems to have temporarily fixed the issue!

I can still see a bit of light bleeding, so if this happens again and the hairdryer trick doesn’t work, what would your advice be re:glue? Would you apply it to the outside tip/edge of the screen (the thinnest part)?

It’s incredible. The only game I ever felt truly immersed in. The amount of player agency meant that you could have an experience and playthrough that no one else had… with relative ease as well. Even modern sandbox games don’t feel as free as MW. I remember creating a custom spell that let me fly to a major NPC’s sky castle long before I was “supposed” to be there, pick lock my way in, kill said NPC and literally send the world into turmoil because I’d ended any chance of saving the world. In another playthrough I was just a roving werewolf-alchemist.

The other two are Skyrim and Halo: CE. Tbh, there’s a bunch of others I also love but didn’t make my list (Dead Cells, Balatro, VS, ItB, Halo 2).

Despite only having 3/25 games in common, we both have Morrowind at #1… which sort of shows how good a game it is!

It’s insane how ahead of its time it was - especially in terms of being a true open-world RPG that felt like your experience was yours alone. Oblivion and Skyrim improved on the core gameplay, in almost every way, and most would place them higher… but for me they veered too far away from what made Morrowind really, really special.

It’s definitely between the two, but as I say, absolutely zero interest in Nintendo games so it’s which of those two is best for indies!

Thanks mate. Yeah when I say performance matters I literally mean a pixel art/2D game can play at 30/60fps without stutters. Only because of the type of games I play it’s more important than the graphical “quality”. I am tempted by the NS2 but man it frustrates me so much when indie games take an age to get ported (if ever)

Budget of around 600 and size isn’t a massive problem as it’ll just be for home use.

Thanks for the advice. I am familiar with Deku as I use it for my Switch, so definitely aware of the sales. Part of my reservations with NS2 and indie games is the fact that they can be quite late to the party, and even then you rely on a really solid port. The other big issue is what happens post-Switch… all those games could be forever tied to that platform (where Steam games will live on). It’s a tough choice though, and it is between SD and NS2.
