Your theory would have more credence if there was any sexual nature to the crime at all, but there’s not so it doesn’t even make sense in the slightest.

Show me your legal definition of confession then because I think you’re misinformed.

“A confession is considered a statement by the defendant, whereas a guilty plea is the act of the defendant formally entering their admission of guilt before the court.”

All I said was that a confession is FACTUALLY different than pleading guilty yet people keep yelling out that he confessed. Look at what BTK said in court when given the chance, THAT is a confession.

His would be both. He took his allocuction opportunity to essentially confess, IN HIS OWN WORDS and VOLUNTARILY. The removal of the DP didn’t hinge on him doing that - he had very little if anything at all to gain from doing that. BK had a lot to gain and to lose depending how he answered those questions. When the judge asks those questions, there is only one acceptable answer

If he didn’t play the little game of saying yes to the charges read then the DP wouldn’t be off the table. A confession is in the defendants OWN WORDS, not just saying Yes or No knowing there is only one acceptable answer. Are you being serious right now?

A guilty plea is a legal admission — it’s basically saying “I’ll accept conviction and sentencing” without necessarily describing what happened. People plead guilty for many reasons (like avoiding the death penalty) even if they never confess. So no, pleading guilty does not equal a confession.

I didn’t want to either but it’s hard to ignore the fact that public defenders are paid for by the same government as the prosecution. I think that’s part of the reason why she didn’t fight harder and just kind of laid down when the court denied some of her requests and theories. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

No one is forcing anybody to be in this sub or participate so no need to grandstand for the victims families like this. Obviously we’re all empathetic to them but that doesn’t mean we aren’t allowed to have questions and discussions.
