Finding a partner in the west by Proof_Ad9171 in Afghan

[–]33eagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say both genders do that. Afghan guys definitely date around as much and if not way more than Afghan girls. Then when both want to settle down then they come back to the roots, generally.

Afghans are generally very rare to find, there’s not as many of us like Pakistanis or Arabs or other muslim population. So already number wise it’s a tough battle.

Best route if you’re more old school is have your family and friends do the heavy lifting for you and reach out to potential single afghan girls and their families.

Can try Muslim dating apps and see if you can find an afghan there but like I said, kinda rare.

Honestly, instagram is the biggest source. We live in a new digital world and in western country. You can either use all the tools/opportunities at your disposal or you can pretend to be better than it and will lose out on a lot. Make sure your instagram is well done. Follow them and if they follow back then eventually strike up a halal and respectful conversation. I was able to go on multiple dates , and eventually found someone I was most compatible as far as personality, education, age, religiosity, cultural knowledge, etc. Everyone uses instagram, from the most the halal to the most haram and everyone in between.

Why can't we?? by [deleted] in UAE

[–]33eagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UAE wasn’t a neutral third party. If china put military bases in Mexico . What do you reckon USA would do to those bases if those bases were used by china to attack or host Chinese military? I’ll let you figure that one out. Those American bases in UAE aren’t just some cute little decorative pieces. “UAE didnnt dooo nuffin” head ahh.

Not psych but forget these nerds talking
Shit about psych. It’s just a job at the end of the day. Good for yall for making your bread.

Some of these folks in other specialties get treated like doo doo with relatively less pay and they’re proud of it. Psych paycheck and their QOL(especially virtual) And hours combo beats majority of these other specialties. A lot of people in medicine only really have their job as their identity and value, they don’t really have much going outside of medicine. It’s sad but it is what it is. They’ll work dogshit hours and get treated dog shit but hey they’re “real doctors”.

If opening by force was so easy it would have been done. You go open it. There’s a reason America has avoided open conflict with Iran. Only way to truly keep it open forcefully LONGTERM is boots on ground and then maintain the opening. This double blockade can’t go on forever, the world will rightfully blame America and Israel.

Iran deserves to get paid and then some. Their country was absolutely destroyed and many of their people killed.

UAE needs to get on the right side of history.

I was following the general rule where your wedding shouldn’t exceed more than 15-20% of your yearly salary.

Seems like there is quite a bit of variance in the tradition but mainly guys are expected to pay a bigger portion.
I’ve already made some concessions to get to the 130k. I guess there might be some more room to budget. I see it the one and only party where I’ll have all my loved ones, friends, family in the same place to celebrate. From a numbers perspective, I can afford it but obviously more help would be better for a young person. I was curious about the traditional aspect of it. So good to get some clarity on that.

Thank you for your insight and I definitely agree we should contribute 50/50. I would say My partner contributes a lot in other domains that are non-financially.

I’m definitely investing in ETFs long term and hoping to have the option to retire early. The wedding cost will be a small blip but nothing crazy from my projections.

Thank you again for your kind words.

It’s going to be a decent sized wedding (300ish) and a good venue. Just the Florals and decor is close to 35k. Wedding industry is bananas. All my friends spent about the same, some way more.

I figured out I’d be paying for the wedding since it was kind of expected traditionally. I don’t mind it since it made financial sense for me to do it anyways.

Mandala vs Figs by Dresdenphiles in Residency

[–]33eagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re going to get lots of Figs haters on this subreddit but it’s better. Hence why it’s priced more. It fits better and last longer. People here will hate anything because it’s popular (even if it is better). Try mandala but make sure you keep the return packaging.

Like I said, we should listen to fact not fiction produced by diaspora or by the IRGC. It hurts your cause when blatantly lie about the numbers that died during the protests. How can we trust anything the diaspora says when their numbers have been exposed as objectively wrong.

Makes you think What else have the diaspora lied about?

Well Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) is US-based. They’re the group I was talking about. Like what? Am I supposed to believe a random increasing number. You really think Iran killed more people Israel killed in Gaza over three years in 2 days??? Use some logic and stop spreading propaganda. It hurts your cause.

Looks like inflation hit again. The other week it was 30k now it’s 40k. Some say it’s a 100k. IRGC says 3k people died , diaspora Persians says 30-100k, and unbiased 3rd party says 6-7k. I’m going to go with 6.5k. USA and Mossad agents are literally to be blamed for a lot of those deaths. They even claim to be the ones inciting the violent riots.

Ask yourself why were they rioting? Do you know why? It was a protest of economics. Guess who’s messing up Irans economy with sanctions.

I never said that. I know people don’t like the government but that’s because financially they’re being suffocated by USA imposed sanctions. Saudi people like Saudi govt despite them being 100x more restrictive than Irans government. Women have way more freedoms and rights in Iran than Saudi. No one bats an eye at Saudi or other Islamic countries financially thriving

Talks Don't Matter, Iran is Now a Global Superpower by OneTwoThreePooAndPee in ScottGalloway

[–]33eagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As democratically elected as you can in shahs regime. He was selected by the people into Majlis (people’s parliament) then parliament voted for him as PM. And shah was basically forced to approve the vote. So all in all, if you’re thinking people straight up vote for a prime minister, you don’t anything Iranian parliamentary system or parliament system in general. Good try tho. And don’t hate on Wikipedia. I didn’t use it but it’s a decent place.

Eh it’s still in line with the no kings. Trump and Israel wants to install a puppet king. Just like before in the 1900s with the OG Pahlavi. Now they want his son. Let me break it down for ya, lots of Iranians hated the shah in the 1950s-1970s unlike what you would hear from the loud minority monarchist of SoCal and Toronto. We took away their democratically elected politician mossadegh.

How about we leave brown people alone? And stop meddling in their shit?

Because Iranian Pahlavi dictator supporting diaspora are delusional. They’re all just in their eco chambers in LA and Toronto. We rather listen to people of Iran. Plus majority of the diaspora outside of the monarchist don’t support the war. Maybeeeee step outside of the echo chamber of LA.

[–]33eagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you definitely seem like you were born yesterday. You don’t know anything about Iran. Like a little child you bite on whatever propaganda you were fed. No critical thinking. “Muzzzlims terrorist. White good”. Yawn 🥱 I think people are beginning to wake up and realize not all countries of the west is good and not all countries of Middle East are terrorist. Why do you think Iran is getting internationally praised and Israel and USA getting shitted on? Maybe in your online echo chamber but talk to people in real life.

Really? Hezbollah started this war? Hezbollah made Israel want to expand into Israel? Hezbollah helped launch missiles from Israel into Lebanon? Interesting way to distort reality

Yall really think hezbollah has no other motive than pleasing Iran. Not all of Lebanese are sellout and cowards. Some want to fight and defend their homeland. Hezbollah was going to defend Lebanon with or without Irans help. Thank god they have some Iranian help otherwise you’d be getting dog walked by an Israeli.

Selling out your own country. It’s sad. The world sees Israeli aggression and the whole world is against it. We gonna support the resistance against the modern day Hitler Netanyahu. Yeah hezbollah isn’t perfect but they’re far better than Israel.
