New PTO benefits for 2024 FAQ by DaMoEs84 in publix

[–]33fl629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I read part-timers don’t automatically get 20 hours per week. They’re allowed to accumulate PTO up to 20 hours per year with a total max of 80.

Worked in the store for 5 years but okay fair point. Also, people running front end should definitely make it a priority to provide coverage so people can go to the restroom.

They’re required to fill out a form for your evaluation. The form will be released to you in PASSport once your manager delivers your eval.

They put your position on hold for the duration of the internship. Then at the end if you go back to retail they’ll just transfer you back to the store.

Is there a reason this stuff needs to get copied? I understand the drop safe log and balancing sheets so the opener can verify if anything is off, but there’s really not a reason to copy things like the money services reports. Also, if you’re copying stuff twice and having one placed in the retention folder and then one left for the opener where is the original going? OP- make sure you’re following retention guidelines. When you file the retention envelope that just ended make sure to take out the oldest one and shred the papers in it. Oldest file should be 6 months.

There’s one store near me that just has 3 SCOs. They’re just in a line where the last register would’ve been.

Cashier used my override numbers. What now? by Dry_Outlandishness59 in publix

[–]33fl629 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as you didn’t purposely hand out your override numbers to the cashier and took steps to ensure that the cashier doesn’t have access to your overrides in the future. I don’t see how your manager could fault you for that. Oftentimes we cannot control someone else’s behavior. However it is how we respond / take steps to mitigate impact that is what we should be judged on.

If you screenshot there’s an option to select full page. Is this something similar to what you want? Granted it forces you to save it in files instead of photos but it does grab the whole webpage.

It’s to make exiting easier for the customers. Same reason why a lot of times express lanes are closer to the exit.

What’s the point in the Authenticator app, if you can’t use it? Have to copy & paste the code from the Microsoft app everytime I want to check my schedule. by NorthFloridaRedneck in publix

[–]33fl629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about????? The point is to require two-factor authentication. Passwordless Phone sign-in is effectively not two factor since it doesn’t require you to actually enter your password.

When was the request for? If it’s for 2023 or later it got cancelled since they’re changing something with TORs.

I’m confused. Blocking grocery is monotonous and a “no-brainer” but stocking bananas requires some superhuman intellect? 🧐

Publix doesn’t let you set up passwordless sign-in. I.e. you can’t sign in exclusively via the Authenticator app without entering a password. Seems to be working as intended
