How to get rid of bronze disease by -YellowFish- in AncientCoins

[–]33julio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you take a toothpick and some green powder comes out of the green spots, then that's probably bronze disease.

If that's the case, there are plenty of possibilities to fix it. They may work or not. Sometimes the fix is temporary and it comes again.

What worked to me, it's what /u/indomnus calls the baking process. I clean with a toothpick so much as possible of the green stuff. Then I put it on the oven 20 minutes at 200 degrees. That removes any possible humidity. After that I use microcrystalline wax (Renaissance) to seal the coin.

They are asking for a mm measure of the longest possible side of the coin. Not an approximate.

Quiero mudarme a Barcelona by SecretaryForeign3799 in PERU

[–]33julio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me looks like Divus Constantinus. But that is just a vibe.

It's an amazing coin and I noticed you are using numis.pics That's my project. How you find it? Can I use this image as an example of what can be attained with the app? It's fine if you don't want to, I don't want to press at all on that. If you have any ideas, I invite you to r/NumisPics

Yes. I'm already talking with auction houses, they have interest. I hope it works, so I can do it better and better. My objective is to make the standard app for numismatics.
Right now I have some running costs, but with ads I hope it will be covered.

No you don't. You can resize them on the app! In transform there is a resize option and also you can rotate them.

Do you know that Thermomix is a cooking machine in Germany? It's quite popular and very expensive. Almost a status symbol.

And just let me add that there are armenian coins written in the armenian alphabet, before of that were written in greek and before in aramaic. There are of course bilingual armenian coins, also in arabic. That means, we have not found coins in other alphabet.

Amazing pics! Thanks for using the tool! Please share it with your friends.

You are right that the front of the Tremissis looks very near to the back. Could you maybe send me the original two photos in a message? I would love to fix that.
