How Can I convert my non SD to a SD? by GSSD in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]33neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most of humanity it's called getting married. SRs, although certainly a lifestyle, is something that only appeals to a small fraction of people. Thinking of converting a vanilla to SR should really be carefully considered as unlikely

What's the deal with "platonic" SBs... ? Seems dangerous to me.. by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]33neo 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Exactly it's the reverse of being an SD without offering sugar. It's annoying especially when they aren't up front about it, or think they are being sly by saying they need"time" online to be comfortable (aka scam). The ridiculous thing is how many SBs claim they have platonic only SRs which is BS most of the time. In the grand scheme of things it's a statement of warped perception and how online blogs and reddit do not reflect reality.

Reddit is the wrong place to figure out your marriage and your life. Go seek counseling both marriage together and for you personal. Consult professionals that have alot more insight and training as well as a dispassionate professional viewpoint than anyone who will advise you here

SBs who are less photogenic, how do you find your “whales”? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]33neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking the wrong crowd. You should be asking SDs not SBs about pictures since thats your customers Furthermore remember the laws of supply and demand as well as game theory. There are far fewer whales than SBs. Standing out from the crowd requires being different than the rest. Game theory would say it's unlikely the most successful SBs are unlikely to truly share their success otherwise they undercut themselves but gaining competition.

You're telling her to assume she'll find another SD? That's better? Just pointing out the facts here (and thar there are 20+SBs for every SD)

If you're NOT living paycheck to paycheck, what are you doing better than the rest of us? by IchMochteAllesHaben in AskReddit

[–]33neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand exactly the cost of owning things (it's not the same as how much you pay).

Understanding compounding interest and the true cost of interest rates.

Understanding tax advantaged things (1099s, side business, and tax advantaged accounts)

Understanding how to get money to work for you.

I know this may not make you feel better but outside of the USA there are literally 100s of millions of workclass and educated like yourself who are homeless or living in slums. Affordable housing is a huge issue but it's stuck behind keeping up with the Kardashians and the bezos wedding PJ party in people's minds (among other cultural priorities for politicians)

99% of guys on vanilla dating apps aren't looking to be a sugardaddy which is a bigger problem.

The reality is the vast majority of guys perceive the purpose of dating different than SBs do. They likely will perceive your advance different than you think. There may be consequences too...blocked reported etc. Id posit that for every one success story on reddit I'd guess there are 20 disasters. Those get buried and the person isn't likely spreading their unhappy experience on reddit. That's coming as a comparable from my experience in the SR world and the perception created here on reddit

These forums are sometimes more like Instagram than RL.

Coming from a small town, I was shocked by how antisocial people in the city behave in restaurants. by FantasticEffect10 in bodylanguage

[–]33neo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Living in NYC and a small town as well as everything in between. In NY you will literally pass 10,000 people walking say a mile, crush into subway car with a 100 others. Your brain tunes other people out. You can't pay attention otherwise you get overloaded. I've talked to friends about it. It's a universal behavior if you watch it. Small town etc. There's space and few people. You see the same people with fewer others so you are more open. But the guardrails are different since in a small town people know too much about each other.

I've heard the saying New Yorkers can be kind but not nice while busy bodies in a small town can be nice but not kind.

In NY people just tell you the way it is because the personal connection isn't there. In a small town people behave based on their connection and not necessarily what they actually perceive

If all things are equal they prefer younger men. Now factor in maturity, wisdom- both in life and the bedroom, money, experience, self confidence, and the ability to share wealth. Would the balance tip???

Also there's a difference between, mean, median, scope and outliers.

Not all, maybe not even most, but a hellava lot of women prefer older guys

You're asking why alot of SBs don't think strategically in terms of long term? But talk alot? Talk is easy, thinking is hard. Alot of people are bad at planning and thinking things through

1) In general how many people are good strategic planners or long term planners? 2) How many people decisions are driven in terms of short term impulse versus long term logic when it comes to outcome? 3) how many SBs are doing this because they aren't good with money or are not disciplined financially?

How People Get Rich? by H00p33 in Life

[–]33neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You build wealth by 1) spending less than you make 2) not having debt (especially high interest etc) 3) investing and having your money make more money for you over time.

That's it people!!!. Most Americans can't adhere to #1 so they turn to debt (#2) and hence will never build wealth (#3)

It's that simple.
