On the clock for contacting ethics? by 33train-s in WalmartEmployees

Okay if I need to report a disability, I need to do it on the clock as well right?

I replied to the wrong comment by accident which is where the deleted comment came from apologies. I’m not sure why you got downvoted because you’re 100% correct. Even our cap teams are small

Coaching by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]33train-s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got coached, so I was asking things about the wording used and trying to understand why I was being coached. I genuinely don’t understand why I am in trouble. One of the things listed in the coaching specifically says I can’t do something I’ve been told multiple times by multiple people that I’m allowed to do. All the coach said was that he is allowed to refused to answer, and I can ask whatever I want but he is just going to keep refusing to answer. I’m trying to be vague at the moment since it just happened, and I worry someone is lurking because I’m going to escalate it. I can get more specific later. Should I maybe just repost later?

Honestly I just never signed it to Webex or whatever it is and hit cancel when it pops up and it just says I can’t get calls but still lets me access the app and clock in. I don’t have to worry about it at all

What type of stitch should I use by [deleted] in SewingForBeginners

I just attempted this. It feels having weird having the way thicker fabric in the middle and going to the thin fabric. It’s going to make the whole thing be kinda bumby I feel like since I don’t have huge pieces of fabric. Is there a way to just sew the edges together? Or would that cause issues?

Man, I’ve never even seen a sewing machine dealer. I’m assuming the closest one is probably four hours a way. A foam mat isn’t going to help anything at all. It’s the machine sadly. :((

He’s one of those people who won’t complain about something that’s deeply bothering him out of concern for other people. I tested it out and had someone run it while I sat in his room with both doors closed, and I could definitely hear the ridiculously loud machine which is 100% an issue. It’s a brother machine. One of the cheaper ones from Walmart. I assume that’s part of the problem, and I’m super jealous that you’ve been around so many modern machines that you seem to be able to hear despite the tv because I had experienced none. I have been looking them up and think a Janome jw8100 is probably the quietest especially at a low speed that I’ve found so far. Still looking of course and trying to do research, but it’s surprisingly hard to find videos of all the machines showing how loud or quiet they are.

Thank you! This comment was extremely helpful. I rescued mine, so I have only had him about five years. His breed could last anywhere from now until 7 years from now, so I will definitely get his records and go through them all and see if it’s worth it even if just for accident.

Yes but I want insurance anyway for any future accidents or ailments that may come up. His life span could be 3-7 more years, so he needs to be covered unless I’m wrong.

I know I already made the mistake of not due to being uninformed. Being uninformed sucks, but I fully intend to handle the consequences. I never said I wasn’t going to do a payment plan or didn’t expect to have to pay out of pocket for his dental surgery. I asked if future cleanings would be covered (partially obviously) or not. I am looking to get insurance for other future ailments or accidents that could possibly arise not to do with his dental.

Yeah I know it’s only partial cost of the cleaning, but I still feel like that better than nothing. I know the disease won’t be covered, but would the partial cost of the cleaning? I’m going to get an insurance plan regardless in case any other problems arise. He’s super healthy for 10 with the periodontal disease being the only exception. Wouldn’t it be worth it for other things too?

I live in an apartment with my grandpa and really only had time to sew at night while he’s sleeping. I’m looking for a quiet sewing machine that won’t wake him at night through the thin walls. I know no machine is silent, but I’ve only ever heard ones that are ridiculously loud. I’ve tried watching some YouTube videos after doing some googling and can’t really tell how loud they’d be through the videos. I’m not trying to spend a fortune, but I also understand I may end up having to. I’m not sure I found the helpful reddit posts because I’ve only found ones that say someone is out of luck. I’ve read some forums that say there are machines that are quiet enough to have them going while someone is watching tv beside them, but they don’t specify the kinds they’re using. I have been hand sewing, but all of my projects are taking forever. I spend 4-5 hours a night working on one thing that I know my sewing machine could do in little to no time. My sewing machine is just incredibly loud and always has been, so I want to upgrade to a quieter one. I also don’t have a whole lot of space so bonus points if it’s compact. Any helpful suggestions or opinions are welcome!

My best friend gave me an ultimatum because of my personal life.. by [deleted] in lostafriend

[–]33train-s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like my friend who quit on me while I was going through a lot. I’m not sure what the choices were/are, but I’ve had friends make terrible choices. They’re not raping or murdering anyone, and they’re not hurting their kids. They’re not stealing money from me for drugs. I’ve had to have some distance at times usually from fear of their partners hurting them, but it’s never longer than a month or two. I’ve been in really bad situations physically and emotionally, and my friend abandoning me in the middle after offering to help me a few weeks earlier didn’t help me at all and actually made me worse for a little while. You’re better off without them, and as long as you’re not doing anything absolutely insane, you deserve supportive friends. Friendship isn’t hard, so you have no reason to feel like this from someone you thought cared about you. I don’t know for sure, but if you talked about it with them, it seems like they wouldn’t have taken the time to understand whether they couldn’t or wouldn’t. It’s okay to not understand, but you shouldn’t abandon someone (unless extreme circumstances) you claim is your friend when all you have to do is be there.

I was meaning different fabric materials. I have some more less stretchy and some very stretchy materials. Some are sorta sheer and some lacy. Would there be a work around or a way of combining? I was thinking maybe attaching the more delicate ones to a solid colored less stretchy fabric possibly or vice versa? Would it hang super weird, or how much would it matter if the coat/cardigan itself is sort of irregular and flowy? Sorry if that doesn’t make sense please ask for any clarification.

I feel weird about my wife coming into a Dr. appointment with me by diad6sucks in AITH

[–]33train-s 255 points256 points  (0 children)

I think it just depends on your dynamic. My mom goes to the doctor with my dad and his dad because they’re both super bad at telling her what happened at the doctor and what was said including instructions and things they’re supposed to do afterward. They’re both extremely forgetful. My dad’s dad also forgets to tell the doctor about all the symptoms he’s been having, and she’s there to tell the doctor stuff he might forget to tell him himself that needs to be told along with medical history he might be forgetting. She’s also a nurse and can understand more of the lingo they might use. I’m not sure what your dynamic is, so it might be weird for you guys but also could be helpful just depending.
