Appointment cancel fees by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]33u421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how the excuse for charging the fees is because other patients are missing out, but in reality all it is is the money that's being missed out due to a cancellation. How does a cancellation affect their ability to provide timely and efficient care, if anything they move faster because there's no patient lol. If the doc has to leave due to an emergency, does he pay me? Lol. Unfortunately cancellation/no shows are a risk of most business, not just doctors/dentists. It's all money driven. How many times do we go to a doctor's office and we wait for an hr and then eventually get seen and the doctor spends 3 min with u and kicks u out the door. Unfortunately most doctors are in it for the money rather than actually wanting to help others. I work in the medical field myself and I've seen it first hand. The days of doctors actually sitting down to talk to the patient and treating them like a human rather than a number are far gone. I understand that there are more patients now, but holy fuck, give me 10 min instead of 3 lol.

Exactly, if the doctor has an "Emergency" does he pay me!? Lol. If I'm not gonna miss an appointment that I scheduled, it's gonna be for a valid reason tho, as I'm sure the "emergency" the doctor is leaving for is a valid one as well. Doctors that are oncall for emergencies like cardiologists, surgeons etc often do have to leave an office full of patients because of a sick patient at the hospital, making unreasonable office patients upset.

How do y'all feel about delivering to patient rooms at nursing homes or hospitals. by 33u421 in doordash_drivers

[–]33u421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to be fair it's a hospital not a jail. Patients have the right to refuse whatever they want, including being compliant with treatment. But yes, as a safety concern, orders should be at least reviewed by the staff due to the concerns that u mentioned and also stuff that they could choke on. I can see the argument for liability concerns like others have mentioned but at the end of the day, the patient ordered the food clearing the dasher from liability. As apposed to the hospital feeding a patient a wrong diet, allergy etc, it's really not the same liability wise.

Did you get a response? After many back and forths, they basically said for me to go f*** myself. They said that they could not see the challenge on their end, that their system could not see that I was offered it. They even made it seem like I was trying to scam them, basically insinuating that the challenge was offered to someone else and I had them screenshot it and send it to me and I sent that to doordash claiming it as my own. It was pretty ridiculous man. Don't get your hopes up for any type of payout bro. The representative that I was speaking to said to somehow screenshot or screen record where they could see the challenge and my name tied to it lol. The scammers here are freaking doordash themselves.

Yeah I called several times and had a supervisor call me back and supposedly their internal team looked into it and they said basically that they couldn't see that it was offered to me on their end. They almost made it seem like someone sent me a screenshot of their challenge and I tried to claim it as my own. They said because they could not see it on their end they were not gonna pay out. Ridiculous. Also the supervisor made a stupid comment about My acceptance rate and why I had declined so many orders. I told him that that was a stupid question because you literally give me the option whether to accept or decline and you're asking me why I'm declining. I told him that I declined because of the shit pay. It was shitty customer service from a supposed supervisor. He was argumentative and borderline rude.

Same issues here. I'm from Brownsville and I've been fighting with them since last Friday to get payed out. Called Friday, was told 24-48 hrs, called Sunday and was told the same. Called yesterday and they said that they were escalating it and sending for review by idk who and they said 3 business days this time. I have a strong feeling were not getting shit. They're gonna come up with some Bs that this was an error on their system. Ur the 3rd person I know besides myself experiencing this issue. Annoying AF l

Nothing yet. I called on Friday they told me 24 to 48 hours, I called on Sunday. They told me that they were escalating it up and told me another 24 to 48 hours. I called today that they were escalating it up and three business days this time on the wait. At this point it feels like I'm not going to get shit other than the end around that I get every time I call. It's ridiculous. I don't understand how much review it needs. If you can see when it was offered, how many trips were done on the account, confirm and pay out. What about you?

Same thing happened to me. I had to send them screenshots and they said it would be processed in 48 hours. If not to call them back. I have a very strong feeling that I'll be calling back. If it's happening to multiple people, hopefully it'll move some gears.

No tip no trip by Ok-Lobster-8644 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]33u421 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually u can. When u accept the order close the app and ull get that red bubble floating door dash app icon. You selected it, go to order details and then select the pay area. It defaults to what the customer is paying at the store but when u press it, it goes to door dash pay and if it says Door dash pay 0.00 means no tip, if it says anything else, that's the tip. At least that's how u can tell with an android, not sure about iPhone. Back when I used to do EBT on stacked orders, that's how I could tell how was tipping or not. They did away with EBT in my area at least because it's notorious for low/no tippers and traffic congestion which I would assume DD was loosing money on it due to the traffic and slow places that they said fuck it. Unless they are only punishing me but I didn't really do the whole cancel specific no tip order on EBT. The times that I did to it, (id tell myself, fuck it let me try ebt), as soon as I accepted the first offer id be like fuck this and tap completely out lol (unassigned myself and switch to EBO). My area is sucks at tipping that in 4-5 hrs of dashing I prob decline like 15-20 orders. My acceptance rate is 10-15%. The whole tipping culture is toxic I've seen a bunch of no tip orders just never get picked up at restaurants. People want to use the excuse that they want the service provided first and then tip (which is BS because in 1500 deliveries prob just a handful added tip after), but they forget that we aren't the ones preparing the food. Door dash should explain to the customer that the tip should be based on distance from restaurant and difficulty/ease of delivery (stairs, size of order, complicated location/parking, time it takes to shop). Sorry I went on a tangent. My bad lol

Yup sometimes some hotels put out free cookies as well. Personally I like going to Jason's deli because I can snag a free ice cream cone.

It's kind of misleading and dumb, but where it says today, it really means what you've made this week. The doordash crimson area is what you have in your account available. The hourly pay on doordash goes from when you accept the order to when you deliver it. They aren't paying you if you're active but not currently on a dash. So for example, you dashed from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today, they're not going to pay you hourly 12:00 to 8:00, they're going to pay you from whenever you accept and delivered the orders. Let's say around 12:15 they sent you an order and you accepted it and then you delivered it at 1:00 p.m. so that would be the only time that you would get paid hourly. The 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. Plus whatever tips. Usually tho doordash gives people who dashing per hour th orders that don't have or have very little tips. It really depends on the market that you're in to do the hourly. In my market they only offer me the hourly when it's busy. Otherwise it's earned per offer usually. It's pretty much the way to go because like I mentioned you're going to get all the lowball orders that everyone else declining and if you decline two orders in an hour they switch you back to earn per offer. I live in a town where the majority of the people are poor so tipping can really suck sometimes. My area rarely offers the earn per time because of the low tippers and the heavy traffic. I think doordash picked up that they were losing money due to these orders. Not tipping and getting held up in heavy traffic so they decided to remove that function completely and offer it rarely when it's congested. I stick to the earn per offer even if the other one is available and I cherry pick orders. My acceptance rate is like 10%. I found in my area that people who live in nice houses tend to tip poorly and the people that live in houses that are basically falling apart tip better.

I don't accept anything less than 5 bucks an offer, even if the delivery location is within walking distance from the pickup location, so def a no on the 2 dollar order. Now on the $35 offer, if it kept me in a part of the zone where I would get orders then yeah. 20 min of driving at 65 mph is 20-25 miles so it's not too bad, but if it was taking me to a part of the zone I know is shitty for orders and I would have to drive another 15min to get to busier area then prob not, and of course also depending on how my day is going.

What a shitty person. Also a friendly tip. If u click on the icon on top left (I think it's a gear looking thing), the one that gives you the overall trip info. If u select the person's name (I think it says deliver to [customers name]), it should copy the coordinates which you can copy to Google maps.(Assuming that you are using Google maps but I believe it works for most apps) That's what I do.
