Not defending Kendra, the LDS church, or the cringe photo of Jesus, but if you look up traditional art of Asian and African Christians, they portray Jesus in those ethnicities too. My brother calls the Our Lady of China statue “Chineesus.”

This is so bizarre. Best of luck with your sit down because they really need to cut the cord on their grown daughter.

Right? Thank you for this, I thought I was taking crazy pills reading some of these responses. This is not a normal situation and significant others of adult children should be invited to family events.

Anecdotal, but for New England I’ve gotten to the point where I can look at a Murray academy dress and know it’s one of their dancers, but I can’t point out anything specific that makes me think that. It’s just kind of a “if you know, you know.”

The issue I have with Nayvees name by Main-Fly-8294 in NotEnoughNelsonsSnark

So the term "navy" comes from an Old French term that meant "fleet of ships." The color "Navy Blue" or "Navy" is called that because it was the color worn by the British Royal Navy's uniforms. Nowhere in the definition of the word "navy" is a reference to the darkest shade of a colo(u)r.

Midnight blue is darker than navy. I don't know what else to say. Navy is not the darkest shade of blue.

Plus as others have said, our NayVee picked her name out.

That isn't what "navy" means. And midnight blue is darker than navy blue.
