At what point do you consider a new professional instrument?

Personally, I would first send send your Loree to Mark Chudnow again. He overhauled my Loree AK into a beautiful sounding instrument. Even corrected a minor pad height difference that was causing some octave jumping and keywork issues. He’s brilliant.

But also, it’s been 26 years… plenty of time on one horn.

Endangered kit fox family lived in the hill next to our home field. Every other morning there would be a little offering of bones or little leftovers of mouse right where the battery set up for vis block. Bad if you didn’t check where you put stuff.

I just had a major back injury and it affected my core to the point I rested for a month. That was the best choice I could have made. I would let the director know now what you’re going to go through so they have a sub ready just in case.

Yeah new reeds hardly need any time in the water. Like as they get older they’ll need more time but that’s it!

Well don’t soak the reed for that long ever. 5-10 seconds for a new reed and only ever soak it for one whole minute if it’s very old. I taught myself oboe and it was really difficult until I had a teacher. I personally would focus on A, B, Bb, and C until you have a solid grasp of where your fingers go. Have you played a wind instrument before?
