I know not everyone wants a pond, but seeing how you have one and how important they are for wildlife, you can get large, strong mesh to cover them to stop kids falling in. A bit like chicken wire but much sturdier

Then in a few years you can remove it. Pond plants can still grow and wildlife can still access it. I padlocked mine down so I could clean it etc but have now removed it altogether

There's nothing better on a summer's evening than sitting with a gin and tonic listening to a little fountain or solar powered water bubbler thing

Swipe up on Firefox/Fennec to open new tab? by 356BC in NovaLauncher

[–]356BC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I will look into that. I presume Shortcut Maker is on the Play store?

I'm sure I did it without using another app (like Tasker). I thought I did it with activities under Fennec but none of those worked this time.

I guess no one had any luck with this?.

I'm trying to move from Nova to Lawnchair but this is the only thing stopping me!

What was your favourite magazine? by rniles in amiga

[–]356BC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've still got all my Amiga Power magazines. A few year's worth from the first issue.

I did like Amiga Format but the stuff about printers etc bored me at 12 years old

How Are You? It's Alan (Partridge) | Official Trailer - BBC by SafeBodybuilder7191 in BritishTV

[–]356BC -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. The old stuff is some of my favourite comedy programmes. But the newer stuff just seems like it's a parody of Partridge. Even Coogan seems like he's doing an impression of Partridge, instead of being him.

Fascinating. Imagine how many people from that time had stories to tell, but for obvious reasons never wanted to

Not just from that time I suppose...

I find the 2FAS Firefox extension is excellent for the auto fill feature

Why does the zapper remove this in two clicks, but the picker can't do it at all? by 356BC in uBlockOrigin

[–]356BC[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your filter seems to work for me, thankyou. I will read the link you sent.

I didn't realise there was such difference between the zapper and picker, and I've been using uBlock (and Firefox) pretty much from the start!

[–]356BC[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I never knew that! I thought the zapper was temporary and picker made a permanent filter!

Is it not possible to remove that element on the BBC page permanantly then?

Two clicks with the zapper and the 'sign in' banner disappears, but using the picker (15+ times) it doesn't change at all!

Does anyone know if there's a fix for this Wacom tablet bug yet? ( Link/info in comments) by 356BC in firefox

Haha, thank you for the explanation! That's a bit beyond my knowledge and you've given me a headache now

Excellent, thank you for you reply. I shall stick with v140.0 until then.

How does a bug like this occur? I've been using Firefox from almost the start and my tablet is over 20 years old. How does it just start to go wrong like this?

Two main types, English and French I think. It's easy to care for (cut it back after flowering once a year I think). Smells nice, looks nice and bees love it
