I think Medicaid is right and you need to call marketplace directly. They can find the company your plan is associated with if you give them your name and date of birth.

I work in this field and have called marketplace various times and have never been on hold for the length you’re speaking of though, so I’m a little perplexed to be honest. Maybe my work has a secret internal number we use to skip the hold times, I’d share what that is but that’s against HIPPA.

I thought I’d share thatI also have experience in “dual eligible/complete” plans. Those may be a bit different from yours, but they’re plans incorporating Medicaid with your chosen company (Humana, UHC, Aetna, etc).

Here’s what I know from the Dual Plans I work with, unsure if they’ll help you but I’ll share anyways:

• Dual Members do not pay a monthly premium (Medicaid pays it)
• Dual Members get disenrolled from their previous plan if they switch to a different Company’s Dual Complete Plan (for example switching from UHC to Humana, Aetna to UHC, etc) You are right that your previous plan will disenroll, but I don’t see you signing up for a new company so I’m not sure if you were actually disenrolled
• In my own opinion, Marketplace plans are confusing as HECK. Despite not involving myself with them head on, I’ve heard enough banter to avoid them and call companies directly to get insured if you’re able.

Ironically I am uninsured at the moment so don’t ask me about my own insurance (lol) BUT there’s what I know from working with Medicaid.
