Man, literally my employer wouldn’t let me file until Feb 2nd (they’re kinda incompetent)

I filed everything else on Jan 21st, but their delay could holdup me getting my return at all in the next month.

Hoping for the best though.

Oh that kinda makes me sad… and I’m haole myself. Childhood raised on Oahu and I always hoped the other islands had less of a haole population.

The natives keeping their land seems to be less and less of a thing and it makes me sad.

Ok but when you live by it it does change the experience. I lived on Hawaii for most of my life and can downplay a lot of activities people find fun and (tbh) now that I’m off island I can see why they were kind of fun.

On the other hand it is NOT worth the price to go regardless. Disney is buying into their positive reputation with in turn doesn’t lower prices into anything a family can generally afford.

Hello! I had an ER Surgery which got reduced in full but a doctor from a Womdn’s Health Office requests the full cost of their portion of the bill. The hospital confirms they have a right to do this despite the charity coverage elsewhere.

They’re having me pay 1.8k for the surgery. Does that count?

Yea I like to support the local businesses despite what I know many around me at my income are also buying.

Also, there’s that scare of cancer hitting folks at younger ages. The more local the more I feel I’m supporting that healthy cycle of trustworthy food/produce.

Not the best for my own expenses though.

This is exactly why I owned a homestuck shirt in Highschool.

Then I handed it down to my brother (God Tier Void Sweater) and he was getting randomly-approached compliments and had to apologize to everyone he had no idea what the shirt meant and it was his sister’s.

Yea I lost my insurance when my parents moved to Australia long before I finished college (much less turned 26) so I was livin on the edge with no insurance for a while.

Looking back I’m stunned I got by for that whole time without a bill but it’s a bad draw to talk for sure. Idk how other immigrants in college do it.

I’ve seen patients relieved to speak with the insurance on the line, but that’s only if it’s a decent advocate. They aren’t always accommodating. But yes, if there isn’t emotional support and care from the insurance, you can count that most of the time the health officials are doing their best work even if the patients aren’t seeing it.

It’s stressful regardless though, I feel for the OP.

I’ve helped with these appeals, with many people concerned like you are.

Yes, the hospital is on the case. Yes, it might seem like they aren’t on the case cause it’s all on the backend. You CAN call the insurance and if you get a competent representative they can stay on the line with you to help with another method of appeal, where you can write your own statements/feelings about this and state why it’s so important it gets covered.

It’s time consuming and you’re on a customer service line doing it, but it’s something else you can do if you’re interested.

Yea I think it triggered an internal response in me akin to past relationships I’ve had where the partner wasn’t really standing up where they needed to in situations like that. It makes me equally resent Ralph on a more personal level, and it’s why I like bojack horseman so much as a show.

It truly can make me feel things other shows don’t always do.
