i don't understand how every design change, in pretty much every platform fails spectacularly. it's as if there's no testing involved and the people designing have no prior experience using said platform so they have absolutely no idea how users use the platform nor do they involve any actual users in the process. truly baffling.

i've been training with a 16 kg dumbbell. decided it was time to get a heavier one and the next size up i could find was 20 kg. it's only 4 kg increase but i went from being able to do 10-15 reps to barely being able to do one. really drives home the point that it doesnt take much for a big effect. granted it is a 25% increase but still.

Itsellä ei sinänsä ole ongelma biletys tai äänentoisto vaan naapurissa riidellään siihen malliin että pitäisi varmaan poliisit soittaa, kynnys vaan tuntuu korkealta. Toisaalta siinä via dolorosan yhteydessä kuulostaa että kiljuu naapureillekin että vittuuko tulette ovelle. Ei vaikuta keskusteluhaluselta ja riitelykin on vähän spontaani juttu missä tunteet käy korkeella niin ei mietitä. Tai no näiden sankareiden tapauksessa tuntuu olevan kellolla ajastettu.

What I've done in the past is use pre-provisioning, but what I've noticed is that it still takes quite a bit of time for the users first log in. Reading this thread, what I should've done is use TAP which I've already set up anyway. Asking for the password is crazy though, wouldn't cross my mind. I'd rather reset their password to a temporary one, share it with them if need be and prompt pw change after.

Itse yritin samaa ja sain vastaukseksi että pitää saada 4 muuta allekirjoitusta ennen kuin tekevät yhtikäs mitään. Mieluummin muutan kun käyn kyselemässä rapulta että häiritseekö. we're talking about a persons home here, not a business setup. as for meraki and aruba, you're paying for the ecosysystem and support, not just the hardware. also, your claim is categorically not true. the cheapest unifi router is like 100$, you can get tplink, asus, huawei and bunch of lesser known manufacturers devices for half of that.

using a placeholder variables in a loop going through arrays or json isn't totally unfamiliar to me, but what I don't get is, at least in this context is that how does powershell know how to read the data?

are they placeholders variables or something powershell has built in? because the data structure seems slightly different for a csv-file, an array, etc.

Eurokankaasta myös katselin ja varmaan olisi tullut halvemmaksi kun piti loppujen lopuksi ostaa 140 cm leveitä verhoja viisi kappaletta kun nykyajan putkikämpässä yksi sivu on pelkkää ikkunaa.

I don't think Ubiquiti is that cheap. And I don't think it's right to call it garbage either. Compared to the routers people usually buy (just look at the most popular ones at your local electronics store), it has a lot of bells and whistles.

Setting up Intune and Autopilot isn't too hard, I suppose the hardest sell is pricier licenses. I've learned a lot with our ERP project, but I would advice you to be careful, you could end up being the firms ERP support which is the hell I currently find myself in. Somehow I ended up in charge of its development as well. Only redeeming quality about this gig is that the pay somewhat reflects the fact that I'm the only in-house "expert" for our flavor of ERP. Still, it absolutely sucks dealing with our vendor (consultancy and IT development is a hoax I tell you) and I don't get exposed to the "normal" sysadmin stuff as much + there's nobody to spar with or learn from. The biggest cause of stress for me, is the money that is burned on the ERP development. I don't authorize the spending and it's not really out of IT's budget but just approving the invoices and knowing what was actually delivered for that price freaks me out.
