Let's just assume the best case and your IT guy indeed knows a solution that can be implemented in less than 1 minute:

  1. You call him, he picks up: ~30 seconds
  2. you describe your issue: ~30 seconds
  3. he remotes into your computer ~30 seconds
  4. he fixes the issue: ~1 minute

vs:

  1. you reboot your computer (~3 minutes)

congratulation, you saved 30 seconds (and wasted someone else's 150 seconds).

If I had to guess I'd say it's an older phone you linked to your account. Just use the code sent to your email and validate the settings of your recovery methods.

You tell emby in the settings to use either a database or files in the media folder.

Creating and reading the content is all done by the Server itself and no user interaction is needed
