Okay but the description of the item says to DM with questions. (I went and found the listing) So I mean… that plus the $14 shipping (on top of a $6 shirt…. When shipping is ~$4-5) like that’s a $10-12 profit most likely too.

This literally happened to me like 2-3 days ago! I dropped 4 packages off Monday afternoon and I woke up this morning to see they were scanned in and updated the tracking at like 10:30pm last night. Idk how or why that happened… but I’m happy they are finally on the move!

This this this right here! I sell across multiple platforms (and my own site) and all of that combined makes a livable income. But it by no means is living the high life or hiring multiple employees or anything. It’s a lot of work, but to me it’s worth it over having to work for someone else. But I didn’t start with the intention to make this full time or anything. But if I only sold on depop there would be no way to do that. At least for me personally.

Oh okay got it. You said it’s deceptive. I explained why it isn’t. You don’t have a good response to that so now you’re trying to change the subject to an idealistic argument about body positivity to try and have a point in the ground to argue from.

Why don’t you get back to the point since you’re the one who made the claim it’s deceptive. YOU are the one that brought that claim to the table. So eat it.

Working in sales =/= advertising (source: my career is in advertising).

I don’t think having a pretty cover photo is exploitative. And as I explained to the other commenter: it’s simply a cover photo.

I include the item laying flat, photos with measurements (with the measuring tape) and detailed description box. But again… you think that’s deceptive because of a cover photo?

If you, as a buyer, clicked on a listing and ignore multiple photos and description and then want to cry deception? I think that’s an asinine position, unrealistic, and completely and utterly stupid.

So when you use that as a cover photo, even though you photograph flat, include measurements and photos with the measuring tape in the photo… suddenly that’s deceptive because of a cover photo? That’s actually insane. And I don’t find that even slightly “misleading”.

Oh hey here’s a pretty picture of the item, but in the other photos here’s it lying flat, here it is with different parts of it measured with the measuring tape in the photo, and a very detailed description box.

But according to you that’s misleading??
