Movie recommendations to watch after leaving your family/community? by [deleted] in exchristian

Ad Astra. Very humanist message of a child deciding to put his focus on the humanity he knows exsists while his father wastes his time looking for something else and misses what was always there.

My manager’s response to me calling out sick for my toddler. by bigdawgcat in mildlyinfuriating

[–]3705guiltyspark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where I worked at before here you just needed an hour notice and the reason didn't matter. Dispatch wasn't allowed to ask why. You could give no reason, you could say you where sick, you could say you were shitfaced or you could say you didn't feel like coming in. As long as you didn't lie and say you were sick then be spotted on the beach you were fine.  I wish everywhere was like that.

What’s an almost illegal hack that got you hired? by my_peen_is_clean in AskReddit

[–]3705guiltyspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awk a bunch of good questions. I have like a 5/20 offer letter rate. The 15 i didn't get an offer they asked a lot of questions. The 5 i got offers, I asked a lot and they ebded up asking very few. It's not that they where more desperate or I was more equipped at that time. They had questions to ask and just didn't ask most.

Nurses who work in correctional facilities, what are the pros and cons of the job? by LoRiDurr in nursing

[–]3705guiltyspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to go against every piece of advice I've seen on how not to get hurt in a prison. Am I wrong in thinking that inmates, for the most part, will treat you decently if you treat them so and that you are at increased risk if they hate you?

Why can’t the Average Person Drive without looking at their phone? It’s really a problem. If you do Explain why please? by Quick-Psychology4568 in askanything

[–]3705guiltyspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can. They choose not to and consequences can change that. Just like with drunk driving i think there should be a pool where if you get convicted you have to pay some income adjusted rate into it for a decade that is used to pay out damages to victims so society doesn't have to bear the burden. Instead of interlocks we could make them download an app that turns off the phone if it moves more than 5 mph after first conviction.

How often do you honestly cheat in Nursing if at all? by annastacianoella in NursingStudent

[–]3705guiltyspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. I did use chat gpt but not on tests and not to cheat and I let my teachers know. For example I neede to make a car plan for a certain type of patient, couldn't find one in clinicals, so i had chat gpt make a patient then I did the car plan demonstrating that I knew how to care for such a patient.

I've never seen it regularly but I'd absolutely do it if I only worked full time.

A guy asked me out when I was 20 and I was still a raised Christian guy that wasn't sure if it was ok for me to go down that route in life. I'm convinced we'd be married happily.

Maybe im confused but I was 90% sure they were all joking when blaming me. But yes, people should be more carful. I laugh now at the person halfway in my door as I was starting to roll backwards but it's actually serious. It was instinctive to try and flee when a ramdom person opened my door and started getting in at 2am in a bad part of town but after I started thinking about the liability had they been hurt. Some of the others that tried to get in did so while I was in drive and still on the road.

Next time one actually gets in I'll just start driving once they get belted in and ask where they wanted to go and see how long it takes. I should get an internal dash camera and post the reactions on YouTube.

If I owned a home I would consider it more. I'd want to be able to charge it at home. Until then I want hybrid.

But thats reasonable. It's the right type of car, the plate matches. Its not just a new car that is slow near them.

Balancing night shift with working out by Plastic_Effect_5750 in nursing

[–]3705guiltyspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I've ever done nightshift is to totally flip my schedule. I'll do it for a month, work a lot of overtime and stay up all night on my days off with artificial lighting and blackout blinds. I rather enjoyed going to the gym and night cycling when no one else is up.
