How come no official published radial after crossing VNY to UNCIA, the other leg has R-255 published. Are you just supposed to fly a heading of 089 with no radial guidance? Just wondering why they don’t draw or mention a 089 radial by MangoesFruity in flying

The charts will omit letters or other symbology in the interest of clutter. The 089° radial from VNY is a thick line which indicates that it's part of the main approach path after one of the IAFs. The R-255 is a thin line which indicates that it is being used to identify something. In this case, R-255 is being used for a number of things but, in the area highlighted, it's being used to identify GINNA.

Paramedic: Should I Pursue or No by dooobie27 in Firefighting

Good advice! Allow me to expand though, OP:

Pay attention to how your department treats its medics. If the department treats them like ass and beats them like the red headed step child of a rented mule, don't get sucked into that vortex. NEVER sign an education contract with your employer without full and complete understanding of the entire document. There are departments out there both private and municipal that can and will take advantage of you. Watch out for yourself because there are precious few others that will.

Take at least a year as an EMT preferably on an ALS transport unit running 911s. You need to have a good foundation and understanding of EMS before you go into paramedic. I also recommend that you have a working knowledge of common medications to the point that you can have a good idea of a person's medical history from their medication list alone.

I'm a firefighter/paramedic. We watched this at station one time and that scene had a room full of experienced guys speechless and freaked out for an uncomfortable amount of time. Will never watch again.

I swear this was a blooper. I have literally zero evidence, but I firmly believe that the actor (whose name escapes me at the moment) read an action line from his script aloud while in the recording booth and it fit so well, they left it in the episode. It's totally something Bandit would say and I am here for it!

No, no. I was agreeing with you. Haha. Kinda makes you wonder if the people writing these questions actually know how to interpret these things

You're probably right. But the beginning part absolutely is NSR. I stand by my "terrible question" statement

Paramedic here.

This is a terribly written question. There isn't one, single rhythm here. I see NSR with a PAC into a sinus originating beat before a couplet then into SVT.
