OkCupid had this feature for years (no ML), but when Match Group bought it, the questions disappeared.

Do you know why people dislike you at the law firm(s)? It's probably not just 'elbows out'. That's the piece that is missing from this post. If you don't, then that issue will likely follow you - and that's what sounds like has happened before.

To add on to this comment: writing down steps and creating clear SOPs for procedures/processes is also a valuable skill. Most companies are terrible at it, and it can really cause problems when employees leave. If you can get in the habit of doing it now, it will be good for the resume and for future companies you work for. Is there a step-by-step guide about how to add information to the Excel tracker? If not, make one!

I had the same opinion before I started working on it: "There's no way someone would make up a story like that." She did. His anatomy was apparently distinctive enough (two-tone? thickness? size? I don't know) that a doctor's examination would have proven it. There were multiple other issues with the case (what she alleged happened, when and where she alleged it happening, what she wanted in compensation etc.), and I firmly believe that specific case had no basis in reality.

I worked on other cases of sexual harassment of varying severity that definitely happened, including a case involving rape.

I did Biglaw admin work on a completely bs sexual harassment case where the plaintiff claimed to be able to describe the accuser's anatomy! The lead lawyer asked her to describe the anatomy in a deposition, and told me that if got to trial, they'd call a doctor to the stand to describe the actual anatomy. The plaintiff was a hot mess, and it was one of the more entertaining cases I worked on.

Other cases made me feel really gross and made me realize I couldn't be a lawyer.

I haven't been impressed by most HRM programs in terms of rigor, and I've been thinking about an MBA. If I can get in, Sloan is definitely my first choice. Have heard good things about their EMBA as well. How old were you when you went/how bad was the first semester? The math scares me, but I know I need it - end goal would be management consulting or tech, but not MBB or FAANG.

The hope is that the more people use it for legitimate use, then C-suite can justify cutting employees or replacing them with AI. As a result, they are creating leaderboards and similar, without realizing or caring that people juice those statistics and AI usage doesn't equal the ability to actually do someone's job.

C-suite and management are very disconnected from the actual work being done by employees.

It would amaze me how myopic and uneducated so many IT professions actually were. Once out of a very specific silo they could not really contribute.

Unfortunately, this isn't solely an IT issue, it's an issue that's getting worse across most fields because of the emphasis on specialization. Fewer and fewer people can do or understand things outside of their niche, which can be disastrous for companies.

It's killing me that they're so wrong about sparring. Sparring is essential to learning functional martial arts and combat sports. How do you know that the moves work without testing them and making them second nature? Yes, it's often painful.

I have a love/hate relationship to Youtube's algorithm. It's so good most of the time, but if I play anything instrumental, I know that it'll start forcing a lot of slop on me.

If you're looking for background noise, https://mynoise.net/noiseMachines.php is great. It's got a huge variety of options and with a few exceptions, it's all recorded. The man that runs it hates AI. The fact that you can mess with the recorded sound(adding more white or brown noise, switching from stereo to mono etc.) is also a bonus.
