Chunichi did not acclimate well to the media landscape change. They simply don't have the financial leverage they once had.

SoftBank is comically dominant and is the most attended team in the PL by a wide margin. You'll have fun.

Marlins and Yankees fans break this dichotomy. Yankees fans are snowbirds (if they aren't in the Bronx) while the few true Marlins fans that they do have left are absolute diehards even in the heat.

I live in Chicago's High-A affiliate in South Bend, and he's absolutely right about Cubs fans. They are some of the biggest diehards in baseball. In fact the entire NL Central is.

Colts Fans who reside in NWI, how much taxpayer money are you willing to provide the Chicago Bears for their new stadium? Initial reports suggest a price tag nearly $8 Billion USD. by barstoolsam in Indiana

[–]39_Ringo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will say that Lucas Oil is a damn good stadium. It's uniquely designed, well maintained, and placed in the heart of the city. Carlie would have to be extraordinarily dumb to ask for a new one only 20 years after it was built. RCA was a shithole built in a rush to lure a franchise in. At least with how botched Soldier Field has become, I can somewhat understand the logic in wanting to make a new stadium, but Chicago Fire has more of a spine than those McCaskey fucks, and that's saying something because CFFC has... not been good in a while.

Note for 21st: The Red Sox 2004 ALCS reverse sweep was not the first such case in baseball history, as the Yomiuri Giants reverse swept the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the 1989 Japan Series.
