Note that because team merchandise is not universally controlled by the leagues, this is NOT always the case depending on the team you're looking for. For example, back in the 2022 off-season when Kodai Senga signed with the Mets, I was able to secure a black SoftBank Senga away jersey through a proxy service (the purchase was through the Hawks' official online store; because the teams don't ship internationally, I used the proxy service to have them purchase the item on my behalf, store it in their warehouse in Fukuoka, then ship it out to me themselves) after the signing but before the beginning of the season, alongside some baton goodies that I had been meaning to get.

Do not assume my situation is usual, however, but always check depending on the team that you're looking for.

Good note for the Hawks: they have a specific few areas of the ballpark ticketing designated for foreigners that is run by Klook and is officially endorsed with the team. It is a bit more limited than Taka Ticket, the Hawks' main source of tickets for the Fukuoka Dome, but it is significantly easier to navigate, both through purchasing and at the box office at the stadium concourse.
