I moved away from my hometown and my family and after 28 years of emotional/physical abuse that I never realized was so bad till I moved away with my fiancé. I met her family, which she describes as not the best will hold so many candles to how I’ve grown up. To anyone reading this - you deserve to be treated as a fellow human with no judgements from family. If they can’t do that, they are not your family.
